AL ~Assassin League~

Chapter 3

From an amazing idea, I decided to put Arabella and Cerberus together in this one! Enjoy!

It was a bad day for Cerberus as it is the day that he leaves his mother and little sister to go live on his own. The only thing is that his mother and sister don't know that he is leaving, not to mention that is was the middle of the night where everyone sleeps in fear of the surrounding areas.

As he was leaving the safety of his home, he gave a quiet whistle, which called his only friend, a wolf. He didn't believe in giving his wolf a proper name, since if you just say Wolf, he will come running. It was true that a wolf was Cerberus's only friend, he didn't want any friends, mostly because he keeps to himself for a reason that he never talked about. Simply not knowing who his father is. He was sure he got his looks from his though because he didn't look a thing like his mother. Cerberus had a nice tan skin tone with auburn colored hair with a little blonde fringe at the top and not to mention his ocean blue eyes. He was fairly built but always wore light chainmail, with leather everything covering it.

Cerberus thought he could start off towards Kalimar then turn North, and his journey would be going wherever his heart told him too.

He carried with him his usual longsword that had a crest engraved in it, that was given to him by his mother, and in case of an emergency, he carried a dagger aswell. He knew how to weild a sword better than anyone he knew, or anyone in his village for that matter.

He finally got to the top of the huge wall surrounding Taloris, and he started down it. He knew the secret way out since he was five, when he heard the crying noise of an animal in pain. Cerberus was an animal lover since birth and couldn't stand it longer, he found Wolf with a broken foot, and he brought him home where his mother and himself nursed wolf back to health. He had long fur now and was mostly grey with white belly and paws, and normal dark eyes that were illuminating.

When Cerberus hit the ground, he started running hoping no guards would find him and take him back. The great thing about it being dark was that Cerberus loved that dark and used it to blend into the black night.

Cerberus ran through thin grass, tall grass, and everything that was possible until he was halfway to Kalimar. He stumbled up a tall hill that had rocks everywhere that were easy to trip over and holes. As he neared the top he heard metal clanging, and knew there a fight at the bottom, and of course he was right.

Down at the bottom he could make out one person fighting 1 orc, 3 humans, and 1 dark elf. The fighter was only fighting with a silver sword and sheild, and by the looks it was a female that had just finally stabbed the dark elf, and cut the head off of the orc, but the humans looked strong.

Cerberus started running down the hill at a fast speed trying to dodge all the rocks and holes he could see, till he hit the bottom and instantly 1 of the humans came running at him with a longsword aswell. Cerberus grinned as it looked like the human was using it for the first time.

The human took a swing towards his feet but Cerberus was to quick and jumped over them with ease. With a chance, Cerberus hit the human on the head with the hilt of his sword then as the human fell to his knees ended his life with a sword to the heart.

Cerberus looked up and saw only 1 human left, seeing the girl killed one aswell. The human scared out of his mind looked at Cerberus and the girl and dropped his crossbow and started running.

"I got it!" the female said as Cerberus pulled out his knife, and instead the female took one of her chainmale boot and took one throw, hitting the human in the back of the head killing in an instant.

All Cerberus could do was let his mouth hang open as she had one hell of a throw, not to mention this girl was beautiful. She had long black hair pulled into a high ponytail, was pale as hell and had purple eyes. She wore chainmail armor with no helmet, was average height and he could only guess she had some wicked muscles.

"Thanks.... what is your name" she asked holding out her hand.

Cerberus grabbed her hand and started shaking it, "Cerberus, from Taloris."

"Arabella, Kalimar. What are you doing out here?", she asked letting go of his hand, while walking towards the dead body with the her knife in his hand.

"Left, no excitment there." Cerberus said walking beside her.

"Well there isn't much in Kalimar either." Arabella said putting the bloodied knife back into her boot.

"Hold on a sec." Cerberus said, and a second later he did a loud whistle. "Wait so why are you out here?"

"I was planning on leaving home, like you are. Wait, is that a wolf?" Arabella said with a little confusion.

"Yep, he is my pet. But why he wasn't by my side as I was fighting, who knows?" Cerberus said petting Wolf.

"Looks like we got company. Get you sword ready, they might be looking for a fight." Arabella said looking towards the top of he hill where there was several people on horses, two being teens.

"We come in peace young Cerberus and Arabella!" the one man in the middle said.

"Looks like no fight." said Cerberus said lowering his weapon along with Arabella.

"I watched you two fight, and I want you to join the AL." the man said once again talking.

"Who are you." Arabella said giving him a death glare, clearly she doesn't like some people.

"I am Alistair of Redmont, the leader of the Assassin's League. This is Argent and Artemis Sea, I found them in Redmont, they are new too." Alistair said pointing to the two teens beside him. "The purpose of the AL is to find and kill Lord Zycolt and his soldiers." he said finishing.

"Sounds interesting.. I am in." Cerberus said then getting ready to climb onto the only horse that wasn't being ridden.

"Fine, but I get to control the reins Cerberus." Arabella said hopping onto the horse first then Cerberus going on behind her.

"Wolf, you can follow behind us." Cerberus said ordering his pet.
