AL ~Assassin League~

Chapter 4

"Where are we heading Sir Alistair?" Arabella asked while following right behind him, while Argent and Artemis was beside them as so was Wolf.

"Please, call me Alistair, and we are headed to our base camp in Nervanian Forest, and it is guarded so no worries." he said pointing towards a part of the forest where Cerberus assumed they would enter.

"So are you two together?" Artemis asked looking at Arabella and Cerberus, while Argent gave a little snicker of laughter.

"What? No no, we just met!" Cerberus said while rubbing the back of his neck embarrassed, while Arabella blushed wildly the shade of perfect roses.

Cerberus hated to admit it, but even though he just met Arabella, he was starting to really like her, especially her eyes, the purple was so illuminating and matched her all together appearance.

"Wow, awwwkkkwwaaarrrdd....." Argent said making it alot more worse then it was. Argent all ready had the feeling that Cerberus liked her, but the question was does Arabella feel the same way?

"GRRRRRR...." Wolf did, as we stopped on the edge of the forest.

"Quiet Wolf, it is okay." Cerberus said and instantly he quieted down trusting his master, his best friend.

"Okay, it is a far way in, due to the reason why we don't want to get caught on where the base is, now we also want to go separately because we can go faster and quieter by ourselves." Alistair said while everyone listened, "I will go first with Carver", Carver was the one guard that had a helmet on hiding his face, "then Artemis and Argent, then Arabella, Cerberus, and Wolf. Once I leave wait five minutes then the next two go, then wait another 5 minutes. There is a trail you go down, once you will come down a stop where there is 3 trails, take the 3rd one, then you will come to a fork, and take the left. Got it?" Alistair asked looking intently at everyone.

Everyone gave a small nod, getting worried of going in to the forest without there leader.

"Good luck, and may the Maker watch over you." Alistair said. In Asmerath, they prayed for the Maker, the one that watches them, created them and made this world possible.

Everyone watched as Alistair and Carver went in, leaving them behind, and they were instantly gone, the darkness overpowering there vision of seeing inside.

"Now, we need to be careful, who knows what evil could attack us in there. So be ready and expect everything and anything." Argent said taking the leader role, and that didn't bug anyone.

Artemis was starting to feel scared inside, aswell did everyone else, but everyone is too brave to show it.

Now they waited, the five minutes feeling like 5 hours, until Arabella talked, "I think the 5 is up, good luck and may the Maker watch over you." She said repeating what Alistair said.

"Good luck for you too." Argent said and they slowly rode off into the forest, leaving the safety of the light behind them.

Argent and Artemis were surrounded by total darkness barely seeing anything but was in front of them. They picked up the pace to a quiet gallop moving swiftly but surely.

"What was that?" Artemis said after hearing a grunting noise, not coming from them or their horses.

"I am not sure....." Argent said, then they saw it. 3 other humans behind them wearing all black and dark horses, making them harder to see. They were on their trail getting closer every second, Argent and Artemis picked up their pace even more.

"We can't take them towards the camp!" Artemis said loud enough so that Argent could only hear.

"I know follow me." Argent said, then when coming to the 3 way trails, he took the 1st one, and he had a plan.
