She pushes her own phone in my hands with the article wide open, and the headline is just screaming at me.
KJ APA AND GEORGIA BROWN DATING?
A few weeks ago, we learned that our dearest Archie Andrews, KJ Apa, and the modeling world's girl next door, Georgia Brown, are long-time friends! Yes, you heard us right. They met when Georgia did a semester abroad in New-Zealand, and happened to stay at the family living right next to KJ Apa. Coincidence? We think not!
And now, pictures have surfaced of KJ and Georgia out together, holding hands in the restaurant and cosying up close together as he walked her to her hotel.
Now, they could've been hanging out as just friends, but their recent Instagram thread says otherwise. While Georgia is just posting pictures of all the sets, we couldn't help it but notice the more romantic pictures our certain redhead has been posting. He started off by posting a throwback picture of him and Georgia chilling at a beach in New-Zealand, and it only got more cryptic from then on. His most recent picture where Georgia is standing in front of a window, clearly with little clothes on, raises eyebrows by all the fans of both celebs.
There is obviously no way that they are just friends. So what do you think? Are KJ Apa and Georgia Brown dating? Let us know in the comments below!
"Fuck." I whisper aggravated as I finish reading, "I told him not to post that picture of me."
"It's a nice picture though." Vanessa tries to reason.
"This is not just about the picture!" I raise my voice, "What am I going to do now? My reputation is on the line. There were already rumors about me getting this job just because of him, and now this? I'm not even dating him!"
"It's gossip, Gee." Vanessa sighs, "And people like gossip. Plus, it's not like they're completely making it up. You guys really act and look like a couple."
I groan, "Damn you, Keneti. He just has that influence on me, y'know. Maybe I just need a break from him."
"From who?"
I jump up as I turn around to face Keneti. He looks happy to see me, yet his frown suggests that he knows who I'm even talking about.
"I'll leave you guys to it." Vanessa says as she reeks the awkward development.
She leaves the tent, my eyes following her before turning to Keneti. He has fake blood on his hands and clothes from the scene he's just shot. He steps a little closer as I gulp. This feels like breaking up, even though we're not together.
"So you read the article, huh?" He begins and I nod.
"Look, Keneti..." I begin, "I think it might be better if we take a short break from our shenanigans.-"
"C'mon, George. They're only trying to cause a wedge between us." He steps closer, "We were doing that stuff way before we started hooking up. Now we just have the disadvantage of being famous."
He's only inches away as I close my eyes. He's right, and he knows he's right, but if I keep on doing this, my heart won't survive it.
"Keneti, please." I whisper, "Just a few days. To make sure that they and the fans calm down."
I lick my lips unconsciously, and I realize that is something that drives Keneti crazy. He gently grabs my arms, pulling me close to him in a hug. I almost don't want to give this up, even if it's only for a few days. Yet, I know that this is the best thing we can do right now.
"If you think this is the best we can do, then I'll follow you in that decision." He says as if he read my mind, "But only for a few days. I can't have major Georgia withdrawals."
I laugh against his chest before looking up at him. His brown eyes are already looking down at me as I tiptoe, pressing my lips onto his before we truly take a break from all this.
"I will miss you." He whispers as he lets me go.
"You'll see me every day." I reason, "And this short break doesn't mean that we can't hang out as friends."
Keneti opens his mouth to answer the moment someone screams that he's expected on set. His shoulders slump as if he doesn't want to go.
"I'll see you tomorrow at the reading." I smile sweetly, "Now, go. Or Greg will have your head."
He steps out the tent as he crosses paths with Vanessa. I slump back in his name chair as she sits down in the one on my right.
"I won't be able to stay away from him, Nessa." I sigh, "He's like a drug that I can't get enough of."
"Just try it for these few days. You have to think about your future too, Gee. Do you really want to be tied down to this place? We both know that you're up for bigger things."
"I just can't cut him out of my life yet."
"And you don't have to right now. Just know that you'll have to give up either your relationship with him or your career. And I honestly hope that you don't give up the latter. People need to see your talent."
I stand up and smile, "Look. I have my whole life in front of me. I don't need everything figured out right now. Now, let's go and enjoy this girls night that we've been planning out the whole week."
She puts her fist up and laughs before she gets up and joins me to the exit. We lock arms as we meet up with Mads, Lili and Camila to all go to Mads and Lili's place downtown.
