Chapter 10 : "Thirsty..."

"You're so crazy... !" Neena told Colby who just grinned at her as his phone began to ring, and then it rang a few more times before someone picked up.

"Hey, what are you doing for Memorial Day weekend? You and Kat got any plans? No? I just found out Neena's in a play next weekend. You wanna go see it? It's downtown... It's a musical with Beatles music... Yeah, Beatles the band... Yeah, it is, how'd you know? Oh, Kat knew? Does she wanna go? It's a free concert, dude. Yeah, it's free... " then Colby turned his attention back to Neena, "What times is it?" he asked her.

"Starts at four o'clock then there's an intermission and it's over at eight.

"From four to eight at Pershing Square... Yep... Corey and Devyn are going and I'm gonna ask Brennen next... Yeah? Cool, for real? Awesome, dude! Yes... Hey, who else is home right now? Yeah, let me talk to Elton... "

"Elton, what are your plans Memorial Day? Yeah, it's next weekend... Yeah? Well, Neena just told me she's acting in a play Downtown on Memorial Day... Yeah, it's called Across the Universe and it's a musical and all of the songs are by the Beatles... I know, right? Amanda's there? Yeah, ask her... Yeah? It starts at four and there's gonna be food vendors there... Yeah, she said to bring blankets or chairs but yeah, it's totally free... Probably, but...  (Colby laughed) Yeah, Amanda's heard of it? Right, it's at Pershing Square.... I don't know, let me ask... " Colby said and then turned to Neena. "Are dogs allowed at the park?"

"Oh, yeah. They are. They were just talking about that last week. Yeah. Does he wanna bring Circa?" Neena said and Colby nodded then turned his attention back to Elton on his phone.

"Yeah, she says you can bring Circa, no problem... Sure... Sure... Okay, dude... Later." Colby said and hung on the line as Neena presumed Elton was giving the phone back to Sam. Colby grinned over at Neena who looked utterly terrified, but in a hilarious way! Colby had to chuckle at her expression.

"Hey... Sweet! That's awesome... Yeah, I know, right? It'll be fun... Alright, bro... Nah, probably not." Colby started to laugh and glanced over at Neena and blushed. "Dude! Stop it!" he said to person on the phone who Neena presumed was Sam again. She also presumed that Sam was harassing him - probably about her! "That's not better, Kat!" he yelled at the phone. "You guys suck... Yeah, sure you do... Anyway... Hey, is Aaron in his room? You wanna go get him for me? Thanks, bro." Colby said and looked over at Neena while he waited for Sam to go upstairs and get Aaron. Neena grinned at him and shook her head. Colby grinned back and shrugged his shoulders at her.

"Aaron!!!" Colby yelled into the phone and then after a beat, he began to laugh. "Next weekend is Memorial Day... You wanna hang with the fam? We're going Downtown to see a play... It's called Across the Universe and the soundtrack is all Beatles songs... Well, yeah, play, musical, whatever... Why? Because Neena's in it... Yeah! Right?! Awesome, bro! I'll tell her... Yeah... Oh, Elton's bringing Circa so if you want, you could bring Buddy... I have no idea, dude... Well, I'll leave that up to you... 'Kay, bro... Nice... Yeah, it's going good, man... Real good... Thanks, bro... Nah, it means a lot... I appreciate it... Yeah... Thanks... Later, man." Colby grinned from ear to ear as he waited for Sam to get back on the line.

"Hey... What? Seriously?! Are you kidding me... Samuel! Really? God dangit... Oh, yeah, sure! I love you too... Yeah... I said yes, already... Okay, bye... Buy, brother." Colby snickered as he hung up his phone and looked over at Neena bashfully. Neena just smirked at him and he cracked up.

"Anyway... So Sam and Kat are in and Elton and Amanda are gonna go, and Aaron said he'll be there too." he told her and she grinned. "So, yeah."

"Yeah?" Neena said with an eyebrow raised at him.
