========================================================================
It was just for one night. One night of fun, nothing more. It was never suppose to follow me home! Or decide to live with me! And yet that is exactly what happened. Now I'm sitting in my favorite blue chair staring at the biggest problem I have ever encountered in my twenty-four years of life.
It began with my friend, Ohm, having this ridiculous urge to explore an abandoned building on the edge of town. He said he wanted to test his courage. Something we use to do as kids. I was against it at first, I don't really like those types of things, but he nagged my resistance down until I gave in, like I always do. Ohm had this way of always getting what he wanted and never getting any of the consciences. Nope, the consciences were all mine. Point and proof, the striking person sitting across from me. If you could call him a person.
My eyes closed with a heavy sigh. I rubbed at them until they ached, silently hoping that man would magically disappear. Sliding one eye open, I peeked at my smirking intruder. Another heavy sigh left my slightly parted lips. No such luck.
It's not like the guy was bad to look at. In fact, he was gorgeous with his eyes so dark and endless. It seemed like those eyes had seen hundreds of different lives. He had full pale pink colored lips turned up at the sides. His hair was dark and a bit messy. It stuck out in the back like he had just woken up. The man moved his arm to rest his head on his upturned palm. The movement caught my eyes. I gulped noticing the muscles constrict. He wasn't bulky in the least. His body was lean and firm. The black tee-shirt stretched across his chest, not hiding anything really. It showed every curve and dip his body had to offer.
Is it getting hot in here or is it just me? Just me...goodie...
Let me just set one thing straight. I'm not gay. Really! I don't find other men attractive. I've dated a few girls in my life... okay one girl. But the point is I don't like guys. But this guy oozes sex and I was finding it increasingly hard to tear my eyes away from him. Images of him grabbing me and pulling me against that lean body flashed before my eyes. I shook the image out my head and cleared my throat. I quickly looked away. Was there something wrong with me?
I'm getting of topic here. The point I'm trying to make is that this jackass has followed me all the way to my house and refused to leave. Here's the clincher, this guy claims to be a vampire. Yep, one of those blood sucking creeps from young girl's fantasies. Did I believe him? Fuck no. Was I terrified that he was a psycho and is here to slaughter me? Hell yes! Don't get me wrong, I know how to defend myself. Don't let the squishiness of my stomach fool you. I can throw a pretty powerful punch when prompted. It's just that I have this sinking feeling that the bastard could overpower any of my attempts. He radiated power. Overwhelming power and it scared me shitless.
I shuffled my feet, staring down at them, growing far more uncomfortable than I ever wanted to be. I heard a deep chuckle roll from him. My eyes shot up to meet his. I had to swallow down my agitation as his eyes twinkled with amusement. Can you believe it? The bastard found my reactions funny! My face crumbled into a sneer. I slammed my hands on the arms of my chair and pushed myself up. I glared at the bastard, trying my best to make my face as ruthless as I could. The infuriating man chuckled again, his smirk blooming it a full smile. I had to force down whatever feeling was bubbling up.
He had an amazing smile. Heart racing and knee melting type of amazing.
I twirled on my heels and marched into my kitchen. I really needed to focus on the issue at hand, getting that psycho out of my house. Grabbing my phone from where it rested on my counter I clicked it on. I was briefly aware of the man following behind me. As I dialed the number I watch him out of the corner of my eyes. The psycho leaned his elbows against my clean counter, head resting in his palms. A bored expression plastered on his face. He watched me closely.
