She woke with cold tremors racing down her back.
Ears ringing.
Voices rising.
Asteroids circling her with jealousy, contempt.
Hands were gripping her, shaking her awake.
But she didn't understand.
She was too busy choking on stars to know the difference,
Between the gentle caress of a friend,
And the red welts,
left on her arms,
as reminders of the sins she didn't commit.
