I woke up with a pounding headache.

Whoever invented alcohol obviously hated the world.

I mean, how do people handle this on a daily basis?

I looked over to see 2 tablets on my bedside table that had been left for me.

I downed them, not even caring what they were as long as they took my headache away.

I tried to remember the events of last night, but it just gave me a bigger headache so I gave up.

The last thing I remembered was washing the dishes and seeing this smoking hot guy...

Who ended up being my future step-brother.

Luck is always on my side! (Note the sarcasm)

Right then, I wanted to go back to sleep but I looked at the clock on my lilac wall and my eyes widened.

How could i have slept the whole day?

It was 5:00pm for goodness sake!

I groaned and fell back into bed, hoping to escape back to dreamland when I heard a loud knock on my door.

"NghhhMhsghfbj" I said, groaning again, the loud knock making my head go crazy.

Yes, a very attractive sound.

"I'm coming in." I heard a voice say before the door was pushed open, causing me to sheild myself with my pillow.

"You can't go back to sleep! Its the afternoon, you'll mess with your body clock." I recognised the voice as my brother.

Wow, it was weird calling him that.

"Go away!" I answered him, but it was only muffled by the pillow.

"Oh... So I guess you don't want to know what happened last night." He said in a voice that I couldn't tell if it was jokey or not.

He seemed to be mocking me... But I couldn't be sure.

What did happen last night?

I shot up from my bed, and he chuckled.

"What happened last night?" I said urgently, voicing my thoughts.

"Well, for starters, you were a very drunk woman. Naught naughty, your mom won't like that!"

I rolled my eyes. Like he would really snitch on me.

"And when I found you, you were in your underwear in a dark alleyway hooking up with some hobo guy."

My eyes widened for the second time that day (which was only like 15 minutes for me).

"Yeah, so I saved you from that." He said with a serious face.

Before bursting out laughing.

"You... Should've... Seen... Your... Face..." He said inbetween breaths of laughter.

I didn't find it so funny.

"You idiot!" I said punching him, annoyed that he managed to trick me.

He was rolling on the floor, my punch seemingly unaffected him.

But that was only because I wasn't trying. When I was in the gang, I took down guys bigger than him.

I thought about the gang and sighed. Soon I'll be free of them, I only had 2 weeks to go, and I was surprised that they hadn't even found me yet.

Maybe I was better than I thought!

Alex leaned against my work table, looking at the books on my bookshelf.

"You have the Hunger Games trilogy? At least I know my soon to be sister has some taste!"

I was relieved at the fact that he liked the hunger games. We wouldn't get along if he didn't.

He got out his phone, and I started hearing funny sounds from it. I frowned when I realised what it was.

"You're playing flappy bird? Really?" I asked, unimpressed.

"What? I'm up to 20 now." He said, eyes still glued to the screen, his eyes furrowed in concentration.

He was obviously proud of his score.

Ha!

I was about to tell him that I had already exceeded the platinum score when I was cut off by a burning smell.

"What's that smell?" I asked myself more than him.

His eyes widened as he shouted.

"My lasagne!"

I chuckled. He could cook?

I was thinking about his low score on flappy bird as I sat down on the edge of my unmade bed, only to have my thoughts interrupted by a buzzing from something in the room.

I put my ninja instincts on, ready to locate and kill the fly before it entered my vicinity.

I then looked at the iphone that was left on my table as I walked over to it.

Well, I felt stupid.

How does a phone vibration even sound like a fly anyway?

I walked over to the table and looked down on the screen, not even knowing what to do.

Alex had a text.

I was fascinated.

From: Burger

I chuckled. Someone had weird friends.

I picked up the phone and looked at the text before nearly dropping it in shock.

It was horrifying. I recognised it all too well.

From: Burger

Meeting at 516 at 2000 hours. Come alone as usual.

I re-read the text, hoping that somehow I got it wrong.

How did they know the code that the silencers used?

Was...Was Alex part of the Silencers?
