Narrator —

Betty and Veronica Lodge were in the gymnasium to audition for the cheerleading team. After performing in front of Cheryl Blossom, the ginger-head did not seem amused at all.

"Hmmm ladies... where's the heat? Where's the sizzle?" Cheryl said expecting more from the two.

"You haven't seen our big finish yet," Veronica told Cheryl with a little smirk.

Betty was just standing still while staring at the floor. Veronica turned her head to the blonde, having thought of an idea. The raven-haired glanced at the ginger-head then back to Betty. The brunette gently grabbed Betty's wrist and pulled her closer to her.

Betty was totally clueless what Veronica had in her mind.

"Don't freak out. Just trust me." The brunette whispered to the blonde.

Before Betty could even say a thing, she felt a pair of lips pressed on hers. The taller girl was stood rooted to the ground and was startled by the sudden act. Betty was left speechless at the very moment, yet she instantly leaned in closer. Veronica deepens the kiss which seemed so passionate.

Everyone in the gym was watching them and had different looks on their faces.

The raven-haired eventually pulled away and smiled at the taller girl who was looking very sheepish. The blonde was taken back into reality, thinking what had just happened was a dream but it was not.

Betty didn't know how to react so she stayed quiet and lowered her head, as she ran a finger on her lips.

Betty and Veronica were now facing Cheryl and her sidekicks. Also, everyone else had their eyes on the two.

"Check your sell-by-date, ladies. Faux lesbian kissing has not been taboo since 1994." Cheryl commented.

Veronica sharpened her look the the ginger-head while she had her arms crossed against her chest.

Cheryl sighed, "Welcome to the team, Lodge."

"W-w-wait... What do you mean, Lodge only?" The brunette frowned.

Betty was now feeling embarassment not being able to make it in the team. This was actually her dream, to be a River Vixens. Kinda feeling disappointed as well.

"Didn't you hear?" Cheryl mocked.

"No," Veronica raised an eyebrow. She started taking steps towards Cheryl.

"Betty and I come as a matching set. You want one, you take us both." The brunette hissed which made Cheryl speechless and taken a back.

...

A week later...

Betty and Veronica were never really just friends. Neither has the guts to admit their feelings for each other, afraid of what was going to happen next.

Betty's feelings for Archie has been long gone since the day they had this spin the bottle game and she never blamed Cheryl for it. The blonde never cared about what Archie and Veronica did in the closet either. Yes, it was kinda tough for Betty to sink in all the things that was happening. Also, it thoroughly hurt Betty that Archie never felt the same for her.

Days passed, the blonde shook her thoughts away and just let things be. She accepted the fact that she and Archie were better off being friends.

What never left Betty's mind was the kiss Veronica and her shared in the audition. She tried ignoring the thoughts in her head but everytime she did, it just never went away. It kinda drove her insane.
