Chapter 5:
Meloney:
'Beep' 'Beep'
That, my dear friends was the irritating sound of my alarm clock, which I found out ever so nicely. But what brought me out of my annoyed mood was the thought that I slept without a nightmare last night. Which is why I never knew the sound of my alarm. I quickly got up, happy as ever, and headed to the shower.
I walked in letting the warm water caress my back. 'I'll talk to him today.' I silently thought. 'Yes, today is the day that I will get to know Liam.' The strange thing is though, that the only reason I felt I had courage today, was that wolf I encountered yesterday.
Fido, I named him, was a bit scary at first, but when I looked into his deep brown eyes, I knew he was worth trusting. He gave me a calming effect, which I needed at that moment. The other odd thing was that the only other person that could make me so calm was.. Liam.
I carried on with my morning tasks, the same as every other day. There was a light tap on the door, as I was finishing up.
"Can I come in dear?"
"Yes, Aunt Jess."
She opened the door slowly, surveying the room. "Are you alright?" She asked. "Yes, I'm fine, why?" I questioned, unsure. "
Well, you got up late.. you usually finish eating by now." Her comment instantly brought a smile to my face.
"No nightmares!" I said, a full grin itching to come out.
"Well that's good dear! Now, come down for breakfast!" I nodded and put everything away, traveling down stairs.
French Toast and Strawberry's were on the table. "Looks delicious!" I commented, taking a seat. Aunt Jess was a stunning cook, but secretly loved to be complemented, so I did it as often as I could.
I left the house feeling slightly confident, but as soon as I walked onto the school grounds, all of my so called 'confidence' was drained.
