Chapter 5

*3 weeks later*

Me and Josh have been going pretty well, we've been together since the kiss and we've seen each other nearly every day.

I walked towards the door soon after the knocking occurred. I didn't even need to peep, I knew who it was. I opened the door to a smiling Josh stood in Ray bans.

"Grab a towel" he demanded

"Where are we going?"

"To the beach"

"Right now?"

"Right now."

I quickly ran upstairs and chucked on a baby pink bikini with a sun dress on top. I grabbed my sun cream and a towel like josh said and ran down stairs.

"Ready?" he asked

"Yep" I said

We hopped in his white Mercedes car and it wasn't long before he took the roof off.

"Plug my phone in" he said

I grabbed his phone and held it in my hands. I clicked the home button and saw a picture of me and Josh as his lock screen. I smiled but didn't ask him about it.

"What's your code?" I questioned.

He turned red and I was puzzled. He let out a nervous laugh and looked down.

"1508" he mumbled.

At first I was confused as to why he was mumbling it but a few seconds later I realised that that's my birthday, the 15th of august.

"Aw josh" I said laughing and lightly hitting his arm.

"Ha ha go ahead and laugh" he said. So I did.

A few minutes later we arrived at the beach. We walked along the sand trying to find the emptiest spot. Luckily it wasn't too busy that day so we weren't too badly bothered.

A few people came up and asked us for a picture and some even questioned why we were here together. But me and josh are known for our friendship so we could just blame it on that, hoping not to give too much away. We didn't want the public knowing yet.

We put sun cream on each others backs and as soon as it absorbed, Josh stripped his shirt off and ran towards the sea.

"Race ya" I heard him shout.

I chuckled lightly and slipped off my dress running to catch Josh. I ran to his arms and he picked me up by my waist, spinning me around.

"Oh look, now I actually have a reason to be taller than you" I joked.

"I'm gonna get you for that" he smirked and then violently tickled me.

I. Hate. Being. Tickled

I tried swimming and but I was laughing too much. I dove under the water and josh followed me down. Despite the pain, I opened my eyes under water and saw josh put his arms around my waist and pull me closer to him.

He kissed me and it was peaceful. Until I realised that I had about 3 seconds of breath left underwater, then I shot right up.

We wiped our eyes and interlocked our fingers. We funnily swung our arms ridiculously high as we walked hand in hand back to our towels.

We dried off and I combed through my hair and wiped the sand off my body.

"Wanna get some lunch?" Josh offered

"Josh, was that even a question? you know I love food"

We laughed and gathered our belongings up and headed to the outdoor cafe on the sand.

"Table for 2"

We walked over and sat down. I scanned the menu but already knew I was having pizza.

"Thanks for today" I said with a smile

"No, thank you" he replied

"Why me? what did I do?"

"You were you! you made me smile and laugh so I hard I nearly peed myself"

I giggled, "and that's a good thing"

"It's a perfect thing"

We looked at each other and we both knew what was happening next. He leaned in and I allowed it and just as our lips crashed I saw a flash. The flash of a camera. The camera of a paparazzi ready to sell this picture and leak the secret.
