Melanie's POV(Now)
OUCH! My head is killing me! I can hear Alayna groaning in pain inside. At least I am not alone in this world of pain.I open my eys and there is almost complete darkness. I am laying on some sort of table that is covered in a white sheet......hmm
"Stop trying to be Sherlock, genius, and GET UP!" Alayna commands in my head
"Alright! Mr.Bossy." I snap back at her. I am beginning to freak out becuause I DON'T KNOW WHERE I AM!!! AM I DEAD!!??!??!?!?!?!?!???!? I left Dean! He is all alone back on Earth! He is such a nice guy.Wait.......why am I so sad that I left Dean? He is not my mate.......Bryant is but, I really don't care what happens to him.
"HEY that is still MY mate Mel! You may not love him, but I love his wolf!" Alayna argues.
"He still hurt us both Alayna! Now stop please so I can figure out where we are!" I feel Alayna murmuring profanities at me. Then all of the sudden, she is silent. Nothing.......what?
"Do not be afraid my child, I am not going to hurt you." a voice said a female voice in the darkness.
"Who are you and where am I?" I asked "her"
" My child, I am know as the Queen Luna or......"
"The Moon Goddess!" I yell! Whoops, I did not mean to yell! But what?!?!?!?
" You are injured, your head is bleeding heavily. Your friend, Dean is taking care of you right now, I have summoned you here for a reason."
"Why?"I asked. Why would the MOON GODDESSwant to talk to me? I am a rejected silver eyed freak!
"Melanie, you are far from a freak!...." How did she know that I thought that? " I can read your thoughts, Melanie, so please let me continue." I nod my head in no specific direction.
" By now Dean has told you of the prophecy..................."
*Flashback
"WAIT,WHAT???" I shrieked.
"There is a prophecy that says:
The girls heart in pieces
Neglected by her other half
Who dares to be brave
With the silver eyes of wisdom
Will save us from the darkness
*end of flashback*
she continues," Melanie, you have powers that you have not even begin to tap! You may not know it, but when your mate rejected you" My heart dropped at that " your powers began to radiate off of you like the sun. Your scent changed a little, and from miles away people could sense you power. Do you want to know why Alpha's did not send people after you after you trespassed? They were AMAZED by you. They have never encountered such poower in many years! It is good that you accepted Dean's proposal to join his pack. If you had stayed rouge for one more day then people would have been after you, for you powers. Do you want to see what would have happened if you didn't say yes?" I nod my head yes. I am wondering what would have happened.
*What would have happened*
"Melanie will you join my pack, the Sunset Pack?" He asked, as if he was afraid of what I would say. He obviously seemed nervous.
Do I want to join a pack? We just left our pack because of what Bryant did to us! He broke our heart! And this guy seems nice, but so did Bryant. How can I tell if this guy is telling the truth! He could hurt us and Alayna and I won't be able to handle anything. I can see the guy turning into a monster.......
"No, I Melanie Douglas must decline your offe.!" I said. He looks heartbroken. He look like he is on the verge of crying. I have no idea why he is going to cry. I need to leave this place. I am getting a bad vibe from him now. I guess I was right, this guy is messed up! For once in my life I had made the right choice.
I get up to leave and he grabs my wrist and says," Melanie, it is a shame you won't join, but you have so much potential, just make sure that you don't fall into the wrong hands! Promise me you will stay safe! Promise me!" His eyes are pleading and begging me. I am really beginning to freak out know.
"Dean, what do mean that I have potential? I am just some girl whoms heart got broken okay?" I asked.
"Have you heard of the Prophecy?"
"No I have not."
"It is foretold that a girl who has become a rouge because their mate rejected them that has Pure silver eyes will save us all from the darkness that is coming." What?!??! This guy is absolutely insane! I wretch my hand from him and I run................. and again I don't stop
* One day later(still in what could have happened)*
I am running, in my human form , I need to make sure that my human body is in shape! Alayna is getting really tired. Ever since we left that guy in the diner, she has been feeling weak. I don't know why she is just you know.......bleah. I have been running ever since. I was running about an hour in and I TRIP AND FALL ON MY FACE!!! I look at what I tripped over. I had tripped over a racoon! I immediately felt guilty. He or she was on the ground, whimpering in pain. I carefully picked the racoon up, yep a guy. I sat down and put him on my lap. I stayed with him for a few hours, and he was a cutie! I named him George, George the Racoon! I needed to keep going, so I put him down, said my farewell and kept running.
I am gonna take a break in a few minutes to grab some water. I hear something break and I look behind me. I see a man, wearing basketball shorts and a white tank top. I stop and just stare.He stares right back at me. Someone grabs me and puts a cloth on my nose and mouth. I realize what it is.........chloroform. I try fighting back, but I have like 8 men holding me.
"Hold her! Who knows what powers she posesses! She will be of great use to us and........." The darkness envelopes me and my panic.
*End of Vision*
"That is what would have happened if you had said no, Melanie. You would have been taken by rouges, They would have manipulated you into thinking what you were doing is right when you were hurting so many innocent people." That is what would have happened? Oh god! What did I get myself into!
"You are indeed special, Melanie, I cannot tell you much more, or else bad things will happen. I am sending you back to Dean now. Stay safe, listen to Dean. He is supposed to be one of your protectors. You will have 5 protectors to keep you safe. Trust them, I have picked them myself when they were born. When they see you their eyes will have a golden sparkle."
"Who are they!?!?!"
"One of them is Dean, the others you will see later in time...goodbye for now, Melanie." I hear the voice go away and I feel a pull towards a small light. It grows bigger. I close my eyes as it gets brighter and I hear Dean," You will be fine, Melanie, I am so sorry!"
I open my eyes and he is astonished to see me awake.
" Melanie! I am so sorry! I did not mean to hurt you! I am soooo sorry!! Please say you willl forgive me!" he begs. He uses his puppy eyes which are really good. I can't help but smile.
" It is absolutely fine! I am fine!But I need to talk to you...........NOW!" I say.
