Melanie's POV

"Melanie,Bryant has officially moved on. I am sorry. But I have given you a second chance at love. Your second mate is here in this house. Beware though, something I cannot figure out is in your blood. You need to get to him as soon as possible. Hurry!" I heard the moon goddess say.

I get a second chance?! at love! My mate is here? I smell something beyond compare. Blueberries and cookies.....hmmm.......Something disturbs this though. My whole body is engulfed in pain. I run with the rest of strength and get to the stairs. I see Dean at the end.

I hear Alayna and I say,"Mate" and then I go tumbling down the stairs.And everything blacks out.

Dean's POV

How could Mel have done that?! She knows that we are supposed to protect her...and she goes and freaks the living Daleks out of Louis and I!

*5 minutes earlier*

I motioned for Louis to follow me after Mel says he is one of her protectors...

he gives her a worried glance. I risk it and look at Melanie. She looked really sad. She was telling her story.... the pain!

I felt a small pang of jealousy at Louis staring at her for to long. I can't take it. I began to walk away and I felt him following me. I took him into the kitchen.

"Alpha,what is going on?What did Cupcake tell you?"Louis asked.

"Who is Cupcake?" I asked

"Melanie!" Louis stated. As if it was the most important thing in the world. As if Mel was the most important thing in the world.....

"Whaaa,you know what never mind, I need to tell you something."

"Okay!Lay it on me!!!" He said.

"You know of the prophecy right?"

"Melanie is the "one" I tell him. His mouth is almost touching the ground. I can see his uvula!ew.

"I am going to keep going if that is okay." He nods his head like a puppy! "I met Mel as a rouge as she has told you. But, she when she......" I gave him the explanation. I had to start again a few times because Louis was gasping like a fishy! Plus when he found out I got her hurt his eyes were gold! Did my eyes look like that?

"Louis, what we did not know is the Moon Goddess...has picked 5 people to protect Melanie. I am her first protector." Louis eyes widened. "And you are her second protector"

"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! How do you know that?" He asked. The first part was a little on the crazy side,but on the second he sounded genuinely confused.

"The Moon Goddess said to Melanie that her protectors are known to have pure gold eyes when they first meet her or sense that she is hurt or sad. She knows that you are one of us."I said. What would happen Louis said no?

"Okay then...if the Moon Goddess says so then....." Then we felt Melanie become distressed and then we ran.

*Now*

Melanie apologized and asked me where el baño(bathroom) is. She looked in PAIN? She tried to play it off as nothing. Louis and I tiny look and knew something was up. I pointed the way and up she went. We were both still a little mad about what Mel did. But...we...I mean I should not have yelled at her..
