"Ari, we haven't gone to work in 2 days."
I called my manager.
"I quit. Bye." I said, hanging up.
Justin's jaw dropped.
"I'm too lazy to go to work and he treated me like shit anyways."
"Um, wow." Justin says.
"At least I have more time with you." I happily kissed his cheek.
"In that case, I'm quitting too. There's too much work. But I'll just call in tomorrow to make it not seem obvious." Justin says.
We both were sitting on the stairs of his porch, watching Sabrina running around and playing with bubbles. I rested my head on Justin's shoulder. He wraps his arms around me, closing my eyes.
A few moments later, I felt Justin pull away from me quickly, making me open my eyes. I all of the sudden heard a child crying. I look over at Sabrina and she fell, a cut on her knee.
Justin quickly runs over to her, I run over also. Justin quickly picks up Sabrina. We rush inside.
I grabbed the first aid kit and cloth dipped in water. Sabrina was historically crying. Glass clearly cut her knee.
We carefully took the glass out, a tiny piece can cause so much. Once we lightly started cleaning her wound with the wet clothes, she started crying even louder because it stung. We finished it by putting a bandaid on her.
We put her to sleep because crying makes her tired. We both mostly wanted some alone time. We jumped in bed.
"That was scary." I said.
"I've dealt with it a few times. The worse one was when she was two and she was riding one of those car things for toddlers or kids where you have to push and move around with your feet. She all of the sudden fell off and hit hard on the ground. She started screaming and crying. I didn't know what I was doing. I was 20. I didn't even know what to do. I didn't know if I was supposed to take her to the hospital or help her myself. So I called my mom over while she was screaming in excruciating pain and was crying in fear. I just let her cry and scream like that for 10 minutes straight until my mom came over and helped out."
I felt emotional. Wow.
"Why are you crying?" He chuckled.
"I'm not crying." I said.
"Babe, there's a tear running down your cheek." He laughs.
"Oh, I didn't realize." I said.
"You're so cute." He giggled, kissing my nose.
I never heard him giggle before.
