"i'm going to the hospital to visit my sister. do you want to come along?".

it had been a day after surgery was done on minghao's sister. he was finally able to see her again. though no news about whether she was in good condition was told.

"sure", jun smiled. hand in hand, they walked out of the school, towards the bus stop.

"hey, you okay?", jun asked when the younger was only sitting silently, not saying word as he looked down, swaying his legs.

minghao looked up at him and smiled ,"i'm fine".

"no, baobei you're not", jun gently squeezed his hand ,"i can feel you shaking a little".

"i'm just... ",minghao started before deeply sighing ,"i'm scared, jun".

jun's expression softened.

"i'm scared that i'll lose her. she's the only person i have and if she's not by my side anymore, i don't know what to do", minghao's eyes glistened. he looked down again at his shoes, letting out a soft sigh.

jun slowly lifted minghao's chin up so that he would be facing him, gently stroking his cheek.

"minghao, i'm sure that she'll be okay. i don't know your sister but she seems like a strong person, and i don't think she'd ever want to leave you alone in this cruel world", jun reassured, planting a soft kiss on his forehead.

"this is why i love you", minghao rested his head on his shoulder. jun smiled adoringly.

the two boarded the bus and soon reached the hospital minghao's sister was admitted to.

minghao headed over to the counter, and got visitor passes for them before they took the elevator up to his sister's ward.

"are you still nervous?", jun asked softly as he caressed the back of his hand.

"just a little", minghao let out a deep breath,  managing a smile.

the elevator bell sounded and they walked out, towards his sister's ward.

they finally found the room number but minghao suddenly stopped infront of the door. the older noticed that minghao had tightened his grip around his hand, and it was still shaking a little.

minghao looked at jun who smiled reassuringly, nodding. minghao took a deep breath before opening the door to the room.

"noona...", minghao muttered softly when his eyes laid upon the lady seated on the white bed. her eyes immediately glistened as she managed a smile.

jun had let go of minghao's hand as he walked over to the bed.

"minghao... sweetie...", his sister cooed as she pulled him into a hug. jun's expression softened when he saw the tear leaving her eye.

the two pulled away and had a small chat before minghao motioned for jun.

"noona, this is jun", minghao smiled wide as he pulled jun's hand, bringing him closer.

jun smiled and bowed a little, as a gesture of greeting and respect. she did the same, smiling in satisfaction.

"now i see why you like him", his sister teased, nudging minghao with a laugh. the tips of minghao's ears reddened as he playfully hit her arm.

"noona! you're hungry, right? i'll go get you lunch", minghao hurriedly said.

"i'm not that hungry--", his sister only managed to say before minghao rushed out of the door, leaving the two in the room.

jun smiled awkwardly and walked over to nearby seat by the bed.

"minghao talks alot about you", she said after jun had settled himself on the chair.

"really?", jun sheepishly smiled, rubbing his nape.
"he really likes you. i'm sure you know that", she laughed. jun nodded eagerly.

"i hope that you can take care of him. be there for him when i'm not, support him, love him unconditionally, you know?", she breathed out, smiling a little.

"of course. i'll keep him safe", jun smiled reassuringly.

"promise me, okay?", she reached out her pinky finger to jun, who immediately wrapped his finger around her's.

"i promise from the bottom of my heart," jun nodded. she nodded too and they both went back to their original positions.

the door of the room then opened, revealing minghao holding a few plastic bags. he smiled and walked over the table beside jun, putting the bags down.

"i bought some steamed sweet potatoes, noona", minghao said as he took out a small styrofoam box ,"and also some jjajangmyeon".

"thanks hao", she smiled fondly, ruffling the younger's hair.

minghao and his sister talked about everything that went on in his life, for a full 45 minutes. jun adored this alot.

"i think i'll get some rest. go and have lunch, okay? ", she smiled at the two as they nodded and bowed before leaving the room.
