jun quickly sat beside the younger, embracing him. he didn't know what had made minghao cry so hard but he was determined to soothe him down.
he looked over at minghao's phone, reading the messages mingyu had sent him.
mingyu 👻 : > minghao.. > your sister.. > she's severely injured from an explosion in her lab > it almost killed her
"m-minghao... i-i'm so sorry", jun only managed to say as he hugged the younger tight, making sure he knew he was not alone.
jun slowly lifted his chin when his cries softened down, gently placing a soft kiss on the younger's nose.
minghao's eyes were closed as the tears streamed down, smudging his eyeliner. his make up was practically ruined.
out of reflex, jun took out a packet of wet tissue he always brought with him.
he pressed a sheet of tissue onto minghao's cheek, wiping away the cosmetics on his face. minghao didn't flinch. he was too weak to do anything. he only sobbed more.
he was finally done cleaning off the smudged make up on minghao's face.
"minghao, baobei. open your eyes and look at me", jun softly said.
minghao slowly opened his already wet glistening eyes. the tears still rolled down his cheeks endlessly.
jun's expression softened at the sight of the person he truly loved. no make up. no mask.
