Barry Allen/The Flash x Reader: Lighting has Power

Chapter 2

It was nine months after Barry got struck by lightning. Me and Iris both came to see him every day.

I quit working at the CCPD and started working at S.T.A.R. Laboratories to help Harrison, Cisco, and Caitlyn. They were all very nice and took good care of Barry. But I had a bad feeling about Harrison. He seemed, I don't really know how to explain it. I guess you could say, he's hiding something and I need to find out what it is. But first, we need to help Barry.

It was about 12:00 in the afternoon when I got a call from Caitlyn.
"Y/N come down here quickly!!!!!!! Barry is waking up!!!"
I quickly hung up, grabbed my keys, and ran out the door to my car and headed to SL. (I will be using SL for whenever I need to say Star labs.)
When I walked into the cortex I saw Barry lying there on the bed with his eyes opened. My eyes started watering to finally see him awake. I ran over to him and awkwardly air hugged him. He gave out a small chuckle and hugged me back. After a few seconds he stood up and saw his reflection. "Lightning gave me abs?..." I laughed and threw him a SL sweatshirt.

Barry's Veiw-
Cisco whispered in to my ear. "She's totally into you bro! She started working here after your accident and didn't stop." "Cisco, it's not like that. We are just friends." "If you say so!"

Y/N Veiw-
I could hear Barry and Cisco whispering to each other, but I couldn't make up the words they were saying. There was a few minutes of awkward silence but then Barry let out a Loud sigh and said; "So... I'm going to head out maybe, ya know get some coffee, and yeah! See ya." Walked out of the cortex but then a few seconds later he came back and asked if he could keep the SL sweatshirt I had given him and I let out a small chuckle and nodded my head.

It was about an hour later and I was still in the cortex with Caitlyn, Cisco, and Harrison when I felt a gust of wind blow my hair. I looked around to see Barry panting. "Guys, why is everything look like it's in slow motion?" Barry said. Harrison pressed a button on his wheelchair and went over to Barry. "Everything isn't slowing down Barry. You're moving faster." When Harrison said that everyone in the room, including me and Barry became shocked.
"Wait, So you're saying I can run fast? Like, REALLY fast?" Barry said walking closer to Harrison. "Yes." Barry looked up at Caitlyn, Cisco and I with a face I couldn't make out.
