Currently Tony and I was waiting for my dad in his office, I could feel Tony burning holes on the side of my head but I refused to look at him.

"This hard headed, do whatever he wants nigga name Tony". Blacks voice came from behind us.

Walking around to his desk he give Tony a half smiled.

"I see you've meet my daughter". Nodding his head towards me.

"Not recently, I mean we go to the same school but you know this". Tony sit back in his chair.

"You right, I do". Blacks laughed.

"Can you just tell us why you called us dad?" I asked annoyed.

"Impatient aren't you ". Tony used this opportunity to look at me.

Holding his gaze I lift an eyebrow.

Clearing his throat Blacks looked both of us in the eyes.

"Inside sources just learned that Cooper's top hit man Chris aka Dario's killer just landed in Freeport, therefore, I need you two in Freeport by tomorrow". Rubbing his hands together he continued.

"I choose you two because I think with Tara being smart and Tony fast on the gun there's no way this mission won't be successful".

"Daddy..why can't..". I was about to argue when he lift up his hand.

"This isn't up for discussion, you're dismissed."

|TONY POV |

After explaining to my mother that I was going on the island for a summer job, I started packing. Just thinking about this trip left a bad taste in my mouth.

"This is for you Dario". I mumbled.

"When were you going to tell me about this job"? K lean agnaist my door post

"Sorry mom". I said dryly putting emphasis on mom.

Laughing, she walk into my closet and started to help me pack.

"Even though I will miss you, I am so glad you got a job, you can finally stop selling". She smiled.

Feeling guilty I said nothing.

"Tara just told me she's going to visit some family. Imma be alone this summer". She run on.

Funny how everyone was just lying to K'taya, kissing my teeth I finish what I was doing and went for a smoke.

Two hours later.

Jumping up I grab my phone, blinking the sleep from my eyes, I looked down seeing an incoming call from Sin, I didn't even bother answering. Getting my bags I walked downstairs.

After all was packed, I came back inside to tell my mother and K goodbye.

"Mama?" I called.

"Yesssss?". Following her voice to her bedroom, I walk over to where her and K was.

"Stay sober till I touch down, I love you ma". Hugging her I kiss her forehead.

"Love you too K". Pulling her in a tight hug I hold her like it was my last time doing so.

After pulling away, she wipe a tear from her face.

For some reason it felt like we're saying goodbye forever.

When Sin pulled out of the driveway, it felt like I was leaving my life behind, even though it was only a trip I had a strange feeling I was making the most dreadful mistake of my life.

|K'TAYA POV|

I was beyond happy, Tony got his first legal job. Even though I didn't want him to leave I was glad he was out of these streets for the summer.

Sighing I pull my blanket over my legs, work had me exhausted. Just thinking about work, I meet a boy like two weeks back. He goes by the name of Chris.

A smile form on my lips as I remember how much of a gentleman he was.

Sitting up, I picked up my phone from the night stand on side of my bed.

I busy myself by going through old pictures of Tony and I laughing at his sillines, he always has been the cheerful one.

Still going through the pics, I found myself thinking about the times our father was alive. I remember how happy Tony used to be. Then I marvel on how quickly things change.

In no time summer will be over and Tony will be home again, something told me that it wasn't going to be that easy yet I wasn't prepared for the worst.
