SIX MONTHS LATER...

Joey, Louie, and all the other scientists were at the coffee shop they usually met in the past, except it was better having Louie there because he had a great sense of humor. For the past six months they not had a single worry in their lives, and it felt great. Joey and Louie still attended school and people were shocked to see that Joey and Louie were finally friends. All of their life was happiness.

But one day, there was a knock on the door at about six in the morning and Joey woke up early that day, so he was confused at why someone would be knocking on their door at this time.

          “I’ll get it!” Joey yelled.

Joey opened the door and saw a bunch of people who looked French and it seemed that they had a piece of paper in their hands that they wanted to give Joey.

“Umm,” Joey said confused. “May I help you?”

“Joey Hassleburg,” the person at the front said. “I havz heard zat you destroyed ze meteorite, and we needz to talk about it!”

“Umm, ok, come in,” Joey mumbled. “Go sit on that couch for a second and I’ll be right back.”

Joey quickly ran upstairs and woke everybody up and told them what was happening. They quickly dressed appropriately and ran downstairs where the French people were waiting.

“Deztrozing ze meteorite iz ze big accomplizhmentz yez, but zer is juan problem!” the person who seemed like he was the leader of all these French people. “Ze pieze of ze meteorite haz come towardz our countryz, France. Itz deztroyz tee fauth of our countryz! We camplained to ze America zat it wuz naout fair, zo we wanz to zeclare WAR!”

Everyone jumped (except for the French people) when they heard the word ‘war’. Joey and Louie already risked their lives destroying the meteor and were not going to spend the next three to four years of his life. He didn’t want the scientist to go into war when he couldn’t.

“Here iz ze ‘Decloration of ze War’. Here readz itz!”

The leader snatched the paper out of the French leader’s hand and started to read it out loud.

“War has been declared between America and the French,” said the leader. “There will be NO exceptions or complains put into consideration. This was caused by the meteorite being smashed and a piece landing on France. This war will be counted as “World War III” so this war is very important. The people that destroyed the meteorite HAVE to participate in the war. End of discussion. Thank you for participating for this gathering – The French.”

It was pretty decent from all the wars, but Joey and Louie were very, VERY scared. They never expected to participate in a WAR!

“Well,” the French leader said. “Itz haz been settelz heah so we’ll bez gahing!”

“Wait!” the leader exclaimed. “Isn’t there any other way that Joey and Louie DON’T have to participate?

“You heardz ze decloration!” yelled the French leader. “NO EXZEPTIONZ!”

The French people walked out of the mansion seeming prepared for the war upcoming. Joey and Louie were never this worried since six months. They were very scared of what they had to do. Everyone left and went to their rooms to go back to sleep, but Joey. He just stared into space hoping for a miracle.

          Again.
