Following up that morning I felt swell. I got my morning madness done and headed out the door.
"Hey Audrey!" Laurie's call paused my day, I turned.
"Morning Laurie!" I smile not feeling the slightest mood change.
"Morning uh were you okay last night?" I thought I heard you scream." She made her way over to me, showing clear concern.
"Hm? -Oh yes. I'm sorry if I made you worry. Just got startled in the dark." Laughing it off as nothing.
"That great to hear." She have a laugh too, clearing the worry off her face.
"Glad you feel better hun. Anyways I need to get to work and you need to get to school." Quickly switching gears I give her arm a friendly squeeze.
"Yeah well I'll see you around." She reruns the arm squeeze with an arm part on my left shoulder.
Parting ways I head to the sanitarium. When I pull into the parking lot I noticed Dr. Loomis standing next to my parking spot!
Oh no.
He gives me a warm smile and I return it hoping my nervousness wasn't to obvious. I park and keep my composure getting out.
"Good morning Dr. Loomis." I start.
"Good morning Ms. Anderson." He returns.
"What's brings you out here?" I ask rather scared.
"Well instead of you getting all settled into your desk and getting the news I decided to come out and get you."
"News? What news?" I ask now feeling a panic.
"Today was an unexpected court date for my patient and I need a designated driver." He announces the news as a hint.
"Oh and the secretary is in for the job." I play along feeling a weight pulled off my chest.
"Very good. So here's a list go what's you'll need today and meet me at the room." We walk tighter until I reach my desk.
"I'll see you shortly sir." I say before I enter my office.
Right before I enter I noticed Dr. DeWitt at the end of the hall. He gives me a smile followed by a wink. I mentally roll my eye's and proceeded to collect my needed items. Most of it being legal paper work and files. Throwing my bag over my shoulder I make my way down the hall. Only to again be stopped by Dr. DeWitt.
"Hey you Ms. Anderson. What's a pretty thing like you headed off to?" He flirts in the previews voice ever.
"Just need to meet Dr. Loomis immediately Dr. DeWitt, if you'll excuse me." I give my most monotone voice.
"Wait, no. Do you have a problem with me? I'm trying my best here to be a friend at least." His words poked me so I eased up.
"Oh no, no of course not Carter. I just am busy as Dr. Loomis's secretary. I'll catch up with you later I promise." Reassuring him with a uplifting tone. I smile and walk around him.
"Okay well I'll keep trying then!" He playfully calls out.
I hold a thumbs up still walking.
Good gosh he's persistent!
Maybe I shouldn't egg him on. I don't think I am?- snap out of it! Go see Myers!
After making the journey across the building I see a security officer keeping guard of the door.
Is it that serious?
I approach to enter.
"Identification please?" The officer asked politely.
