Becca Hayek didn't know where she was.

She had woken up in a brightly lit room with dozens of different colors, like a rainbow had been spilled all over the room. She was laid freely on a bed, and although the white covers were very comforting, she stood up and explored her surroundings.

The rest of the apartment was just like the room she had awakened in, filled with bright colors. The windows were open to allow the soft breeze to enter like a mother's soft hands against a child's forehead. As Becca thought of her own mother, tears threatened to spill from her eyes. Lisa Hayek was probably doing better then without a rebellious daughter who had made her life a living hell.

There was plenty of food in the refrigerator in the modern kitchen, and Becca remembered when Hans and Maj had tried to cook in her kitchen back in London so long ago. She smiled just the slightest bit as she reminisced about the past, and Becca continued to explore her environment.

On top of the coffee table in the cozy living room was a stack of hundreds in a currency that Becca did not recognize. She opened the door to the balcony leading outside and watched the beautiful towering skyscrapers and deep blue river below, her eyes appreciating the view.

Becca turned on the television using the remote with everything written in what looked like Chinese calligraphy, and remembered the Arabic she had grown up easily scribbling onto hundreds of papers. When she saw that nearly all of the channels spoke about issues in Hong Kong, she realized where she was. Her heart pung in anger as she remembered being burned to death by the Haiders, but she realized that she was going to be safe and happy and very alone in Hong Kong.

But Becca Hayek wasn't frustrated about being alone. She welcomed the idea with open arms, hoping that she could somehow make a living without speaking Mandarin or the like. She hoped that she could someday thank the person who had sacrificed everything to save her from that wretched fire and plant a seed for her new life. She hoped that she could someday pay the person back in something that would make the person accept with open arms, for a person with the kindest heart would accept the sincerest of gifts.

Becca Hayek turned off the television and delved into the closet of the bedroom she had woken up in. There, she found a black pantsuit and a white blouse, and she smiled at the idea of starting over.

Starting over was just one part to life.

Author's Note: Thank you all so very much for reading this story from beginning till end. It really means a lot to me. 😂😂😂😂

I just wanted to make a few things clear. I don't support atrocities against women, and will never encourage it. Don't interfere in another person's life if they don't want you to. They have the right to do as they please.

Second off, most of you realized that the male lead, Hans, was a complete sexist pig, and had a really strong urge to hurt him. I don't blame you, but hope you realized the point in why he was a sexist pig. He was a male supremisict, if that's a thing.

Nobody can ever force you to do anything. In this case, it was Becca's family who tried forcing her to marry Hans. It is up to a person to decide what they want to do in their lives. Becca chose to leave her family, not that I'm encouraging that. Family is still family, and it's up to you to decide what you want to do.

I chose Turkey as the backdrop of the story because Turkey's a great example of a country with a mix of traditional and modern views. I didn't say that all Turkish families run this way because they don't. Becca's and Hans' families only ran this way because that was how they were taught.

I hope you all got the music correlations with the chapters that they're part of. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask or comment.

Please don't steal a motorcycle. Maybe a Hans will fall in love with you, and you'll have a bigger problem in your life ;).

This is the end, everyone, and I want to thank you again for reading "Obscurity"!

Love y'all!
