Chapter 5:Predictor

"Emily!" Madie gasped, kneeling down besides her friend.

"I do hope she's not dead." Ellis said, earning a death stare from Madie.

"Shut up Ellis!" Madie said, exasperated.

"What?" Ellis said innocently.

"Ellis. Go get help." Madie said, trying to get her voice from shaking. Emily almost never fainted, let alone lose consciousness.

"Okay okay." Ellis left the compartment.

"C'mon Em. Wake up... C'mon..." Madie murmured shaking Emily gently.

Emily's eyes fluttered open. Madie breathed a sigh of relief. However, it was too soon

Emily stood up as if she was a robot, her eyes were rolled back into her head, so you could only see the whites of her eyes.

"Emily?" Madie mumbled nervously.

"She's coming. The white witch is coming." Emily said in a mystical voice, that was definitely not her own.

"The white witch. The white witch." Emily murmured as if she was in a nightmare.

"THE WHITE WITCH IS COMING." Emily shouted in that mystical voice that was not her own.

Emily collapsed again.

Madie knelt down by Emily again. She looked around for anyone, ANYONE, that could help. Madie turned and saw Ellis and a woman standing in the doorway of their compartment, both looking very pale.

"The white witch... no it couldn't be..." The woman whispered, barely audible.

Ellis' mind was on a different track though.

"A predictor? The last time was so long ago..." Ellis breathed.

"Hello?" Madie said, annoyed that they weren't helping her friend, but tears were welling up in her eyes.

"Right, right." The woman said, still looking very pale.

"Help me get her onto the bench." The woman said to Ellis.

Ellis nodded and together they lifted Emily gently onto the bench. The woman put her hand over mouth as if she was pondering something.

"Is she going to be all right?" Madie asked, tears streaming down her face.

"Of course she is dear." The woman said, wrapping her arm around Madie's shoulder. "Don't you worry." She sounded plenty worried.

"Oh dear! I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Professor Melwetsti, but everyone calls me Pro Mel. Don't ask me why cause I don't know. I'm one of the many instructors at James Prince." The woman, Professor Melwetsti, said.

Madie nodded weakly. Pro Mel squeezed her and then pursed her lips.

"Ellis, go to the director and tell her to contact Headmaster Kouj saying that the duo has happened." Pro Mel ordered. When Ellis looked confused, Pro Mel said, "Trust me. He'll know what it means."

Ellis nodded and dashed off to tell the director.

"What's your name hun?" Pro Mel asked.

"Madie..." Madie squeaked out, wiping her eyes.

"Madie, eh?" Pro Mel said. "That's was my niece's name until she...Never mind that." "What's your friend's name, dear?"

"Emily Longoria." Madie said.

Madie and Pro Mel waited around for what seemed like an eternity for Ellis to return.

Emily woke up in a room with dark purple walls, dark purple floors, dark purple ceilings, pretty much everything was dark purple. Emily realised that even the bed sheets and the bed she was in was dark purple.

There was a man sitting at the end of her bed. He looked very old.

"I see the newest predictor is awake." He said, smile lines crawling all over his face.

"Predictor? What? Where am I?" Emily asked looking around, confused.

"You are in the infirmary at James Prince." The old man smiled. "I'm Headmastet Kouj." "We will answer your other questions in time. For now, I will just tell you that you are very special and there has not been someone like you in over 3000 years."
