[2D's P.O.V]

Today was the day I'd make that bass player mine.

Rejection was surely an option, but I was prepared for it. It would be fine if he would reject me. If he said yes, I'd have to calm myself before hugging him. My plan was to get him all soft like he was the other day when I gave him the flowers, then ask him out. But this time, I'd give him a poem I wrote. Maybe that would soften him.

I exhaled slowly. I made sure my hair looked nice and my clothes were all nice and neat before grabbing the poem and sauntering over. I knocked softly, trying to respect his privacy.

"Who is it?"

"Ah, 2D.." I answered shakily. This wasn't the time to be nervous! The door opened with a loud creaking noise. I winced at the obnoxious sound. He apologized softly and his gaze flicked up to me. I felt my cheeks begin to burn as I asked, "Can.. Can I come in?"

"Yeah. Excuse the mess." He opened the door the rest of the way and flopped on his bed. "What do you need, Stu?" He looked content where he was - his messy hair was strung everywhere but his bangs still trapped his mismatched eyes perfectly. He pushed them out of the way after a bit.

I gulped down a lump of fear. "I.. I made yew a poem..!" I gave the best smile I could before presenting it to him.

"I get butterflies every time I see you.

We're so wild together, we belong in a zoo!

That was a bit cheesy.... don't you think?

But I want to see you every time I blink.."

I echoed after reading the poem. I felt stupid right after. I wasn't so good at making poems. He had a smile on his face as I looked up from the paper.

"That's cute, Stuart." He rose to his feet and wove around me Iike a vine. "I liked that." He looked up to me, his mismatched eyes burning into my coal ones.

"Muds, I've been meanin' ta ask yew somefink.." I nervously cleared my voice. He gave me a nod as a signal that he was listening. "Would..would.. yew like ta go put on a date on F'iday night...? Jus'-Jus' ta see if yew like me enough ta date me." I sputtered out the words, shaking like a chihuahua.

He grinned at me and rested his thumb against my lips. "Well of course. I expect you to dress nicely, though. I'll dress my best for you." I nodded my head, resting my larger hand on his arm. "So, Friday's the date. Where will we be going?"

I thought for a few moments. "Uh.. I hadn' though' abou' tha'.. how's abou' I make it a su'prise?" I tilted my head like a dog would as I suggested it.

"Sure."

And with that, I was left to think.
