Song: Moments – Jhené Aiko feat. Big Sean

She couldn't figure out what the problem was. There was just something off about the sound filtering through her ears and she just couldn't figure out what it was.

Camila was in one of her recording rooms listening to Normani sing from the booth. She watched as Normani bobbed her head up and down to the beat as she sung softly alongside it.

For her part, Camila was rolling her chair lightly across the floor. She would shoot faces at Normani hoping to break the songstress concentration much to her amusement and Normani's chagrin.

She couldn't help it, she was bored.

They've been working on this one song for hours upon hours. And it was the first one both felt great about recording. They even lined up a feature for it. Yet, she still couldn't figure out what was going wrong with it.

However, she knew who could.

She stopped spinning in circles long enough to fish her phone out of her pocket. Unlocking it with her thumb print, she pulled open her text conversations before scrolling down a few spots. She stopped at Lauren's name to see that she had an unanswered text from the other woman.

Lauren (2:00pm): do you think hedgehogs would like those little hamster balls?

Camila stared at the text perplexed because how the hell would she know?

Camila (2:19pm): I have no idea dude. Ask google.
Camila: Also pet Hamtaro for me.
Camila: Btw, terrible name for a hedgehog.

She exited out of their often ridiculous texts and went to look for the contact she wanted in the first place. She clicked on Elodie's messages before sending one her way.

Camila (2:22pm): Hey Eli, can you come here?

Elodie: where's here?

Camila rolled her eyes at her phone, as if her best friend could see her. The other woman knew damn well where she's been since 10 that morning.

Camila: The booth.

Elodie: sure, after I finish outside

Camila (2:23pm): Quit smoking.

Elodie: it contributes to my sexy singing voice

Camila chuckled a little because she could almost picture the other woman wiggling her eyebrows in mirth at the statement.

Elodie: also, don't tell me what to do small fry

Elodie: (2:24pm) are we still on for tonight?

Camila threw a very non-intimidating glare at her phone, eyebrows furrowing at the nickname before she disregarded the message all together. She answered the followed up text with her own question.

Camila: What's happening tonight?

Elodie: are you serious?
Elodie: we were supposed to drive to LA
Elodie: yknow that festival?
