Once again, I'm getting this up much later than I meant to. I started it ages ago and finally forced myself to sit down tonight and finish it.
Just for the future, I want to let you guys know (about to get real personal here, watch out) that I have a vascular disease called Takayasus Arteritis, which I'm willing to bet none of you have heard of since it's a one in a million disorder. Google it if you're curious =] But anyway, I'm just letting you guys know because I feel alright most of the time but sometimes I'll go through spells where I have absolutely no energy at all, and I'm hoping that you'll be patient with me when updates aren't as regular as they ought to be. But I promise I will always do my best! =]-----------------------------
Harry groaned and rolled over onto his side in another unsuccessful attempt to get comfortable. He hadn't been feeling well all day and had decided to go to bed early in hopes of sleeping it off. But life was cruel, and instead of sleeping he had spent the past two hours tossing and turning, trying to find a position that made the awful ache in his stomach more bearable.
He was too hot. The bed sheets clung to his sweaty skin and tangeled around him, making him feel like a sticky fish caught in a net. Harry kicked his legs wildy, trying to disentangle his long limbs. The sheet fell to the floor, leaving him exposed to the night's humid air in only his tight black boxer briefs. But to his dismay, it didn't make him feel any more comfortable.
Distracted by his misery, Harry didn't even realize that Louis had come into the room until he felt him slide into bed beside him. His eyes shot open as he felt Louis' warm fingers ghost over his stomach.
"Still feeling sick, love?" Harry felt Louis' warm breath spill over the back of his neck as he cuddled up to him and whispered in his ear.
"Mhmm," Harry whimpered, rubbing his tired eyes with his fists. He was so exhausted.
"Oh honey," Louis cooed sympathetically, nuzzling his face into Harry's curls and kissing the top of his head.
"It hurts a lot, Lou," Harry whined, wiggling around in discomfort. Louis clucked his tongue compassionately and started to rub slow, gentle circles across Harry's over-heated tummy.
Harry's body tensed for a moment before Louis felt him go slack against him. He let out a relieved moan that sounded almost like a mew, and Louis couldn't help but smile.
"Am I helping, baby?" Louis asked sweetly. He rested his chin atop Harry's head, feeling his curls tickle his nose. Harry nodded contently and sighed. Louis' warm hand was better than any hot water bottle or heating pad. Under his boyfriend's caring touch, the pain subsided just enough to allow him to finally relax. They sat in a comfortable silence as Louis continued to stroke Harry's sore tummy and plant the occassional kiss in his curls. Harry allowed his eyes to drift shut, hopeful that he might be able to get some sleep after all...
Harry didn't know how long he had been dozing when he was suddenly jolted awake by the shooting pains in his stomach. He knew it must have been a while, because Louis was snoring softly beside him, completely unaware of his boyfriend's pitiful state.
Harry was now confident that this had to be the worst stomach ache he had ever had in his life. And his body was clearly confused, as he couldn't stop shivering even though he was convinced that Louis must have cranked the heat up to 1000.
He flopped onto his back and threw his arm over his face, trying to stifle his whimpers. He desperately wanted to wake Louis but he knew that he had to be up early, they both did, and he didn't see the sense in both of them being sleep deprived at the studio tomorrow.
But the pain was becoming unbearable; his stomach churned and ached terribly and it was becoming more and more difficult to bite back his groans. He squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep, shaky breath, clamping a hand to his stomach as he heard it erupt in a string of sickly sounding gurgles.
