If you asked Louis what his least favorite season is, he would tell you without even a moment's hesitation that it was spring. While most people enjoyed the snow melting, flowers blooming, and warm, breezy weather, Louis despised it with every fiber of his being. In fact, Louis could write an entire list of all of the reasons why he hated the spring time.

1.) Louis hated spring because he loved winter. He loved the snow, the cold crisp air. He loved Harry in sweaters and beanies with a red nose from the winter chill. He loved London at Christmas time. Winter was his birthday and New Years and Valentines Day with Harry. So obviously it only made sense to hate spring for taking winter's place.

2.) Louis hated spring because he hated rain. He was a restless person, always so full of energy, but the stupid rain kept him cooped up inside. It wasn't fair that it was finally warm enough to go outside and kick a football around and yet he couldn't because Harry wouldn't allow it, always arguing that if he played in the rain he would catch a cold.

3.) Louis hated spring because he hated wedding season. It only served to remind him that he and Harry were forced to hide their relationship from the public and thus so far from marriage themselves.

4.) But most of all, Louis hated spring because of the pollen count.

Louis had had awful allergies ever since he was a boy. Every time spring would roll around he would be plagued with itchy eyes, a nose that ran like a faucet, and sneezing. The sneezing was the worst part. He would have sneezing fits, sometimes dozens and dozens in a row that came so quickly and powerfully that they would leave him on his hands and knees, struggling to force air into his lungs before the next one came.

For Louis, spring meant dozens of allergy shots, choking down pills, and sucking in stale air through his inhaler.

When he was about 7, Louis' severe allergies triggered what his doctor called "Allergic Asthma." Basically, his allergies and asthma went hand in hand. When his allergies got too out of control, they would trigger an asthma attack. But luckily for Louis, as long as he got his weekly allergy shot and took his meds, he usually managed to avoid them.

Louis woke up early one spring morning to Harry frantically shaking him awake with one arm while he tried to pull on his jeans with the other. "Louis, wake up! We're late, we're so late!"

Louis groaned and opened his eyes, rolling over to face the alarm clock on their bedside table. "Shit!" he exlaimed, eyes widening when he realized how late it was.

"We forgot to set the alarm last night," Harry explained hurriedly, pulling up his other pant leg. "C'mon, hurry!"

Louis threw back the covers and scurried out of bed, grabbing the nearest t-shirt on the floor. He sniffed it, deeming it suitable enough to wear and pulled it over his head before doing the same with a pair of jeans. Both boys quickly brushed their teeth and were out the door, having no time to linger for breakfast.

They were already over a half an hour late for the soundcheck for their outdoor concert the next day.

As Harry sped to the venue, Louis was already beginning to sniffle. They were in such a rush to leave that he had completely forgotten to take his allergy pill. 'Shit,' he mentally cursed, knowing that he was in for a long day. Still, he had just gotten his shot a few days ago, so hopefully that would be enough to hold it off.

Louis fished through the glove compartment, pulling out a little pack of tissues that Harry always kept in there for him. He shoved them into his back pocket, just in case he ended up needing them.
