OPEN WORLD VIEWS
One of the "Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity" na under sa Stage 5 which is Adaptation. As a HumSS student 'di ba tayo ang unang tao na, what do we call this... "OPEN MINDED"? As time goes by I noticed that "Hindi natin napanghahawakan yung salitang ACCEPTANCE and OPEN MINDEDNESS" some of the student in our batch ay Homophobic, Racist, Judgemental at shallow mag isip without thinking deeply "Why?" Without thinking... Kung ano ang mararamdaman ng taong binu-bully natin? Without thinking what will happen to him/ or her? What will be the effect to his/ or her? Without thinking na "TAO KA RIN NA NAGKAKAMALI AT MAY KAKULANGAN". So why? Why can't we accept it? Like na lang sa debate sa religion, you keep on laughing on others belief but you don't want na pagtawanan ka din ng iba because of your own belief? Why? Because mas SUPERIOR KAYO? You keep on murmuring about your classmate because lagi siyang absent, late at madalas lutang. But you don't even bother to ask him/ or her why? What is the reason kung ba't ka ganyan? May magagawa ba ako para sayo? You keep on bullying him/ or her because of their skin complexion. Why? Kinaputi mo bayan? Ikapuputi niya bayan? Ginusto ba nila yang skin complexion nila? You keep on bullying the members of LGBTQ because of who they are. You keep on saying na kesyo "Salot", "Di na dapat nabuhay" at "Walang self respect". Why tingin mo ba worth kang mabuhay sa mundo? Tingin mo ba pare-parehas sila?! Wag ka mag stereotype aba! What I'm trying is to say is "KUNG GUSTO MO IRESPETO NG IBA, RUMESPETO KA DIN" wag mo idahilan na wala siyang respect sa sarili niya, wag mo idahilan na they are not worth of respecting for. Kaysa manira ka't mangialam ng buhay ng iba, you better understand them na lang don't resist! We are known na malalim ang understanding.
WE ARE HumSS STUDENT! Kung ano ang ginagawa natin nagre-reflect sa atin. 'Wag niyo sayangin yung expectation sa atin from the start. Our teachers expects more from us!
