A Symphony of Fire
First Chapter
Prelude - A Spark of HopeWalking this way
I haven't seen in so much time
Got me quite emotionalComing back home
To a home without you
Makes it feel so unrealThinking so much
Without thinking of you
Makes you seem to be fictionalBut when it starts to rain ashes
Down from a drowning blue sky
I know that heaven is optional
And you irreplaceable
In a world like mineDo you remember?
How we used to stare at the ember?
How the glow reflected in our eyes?
Only kids can admire something familiar with so much surpriseDo you still know?
How we used to collect firewood when the flames were burning low?
We always bettet who will find more
The one who lost had to do the choreDo you remember me?
Or us, sitting on an apple tree
We did everything just to feel free
And we jumped together after counting to threeDo you remember our bonfire nights?
Or our sleepovers and non ending pillow fights?
And did you even care
When these nights were becoming rare?Did you ever think of
The chances we might miss?
Well, I did cause I know
I'll never find
A friendship like this
