Chapter 21:

I grab some food out of the fridge and quickly head out of the door.

So, last night was pretty amazing but we got interrupted because Jack had to help Conor out with his car, because it wouldn't start up or something. I was kind of annoyed at first but then I just watched a load of Disney movies for hours till Jack came back. He stayed over, but we didn't do anything but cuddle on the sofa.

I stop daydreaming and head out the door, holding my bag by my side, unlocking the door and throwing it in as I get my seatbelt on. Hopefully Joe won't saying anything today. Although he probably will. I'm honestly so fed up, if he says anything I'm just going to leave it and walk away. I've been thinking about it all night, replaying random scenarios in my head. I honestly feel ill about thinking about it, but I don't want to worry Jack.

I drive into a parking spot right outside the school. Grabbing my things and rushing into my classroom; very nearly late. I can feel Joe's eyes burning into my side as he stares at me. I try my best to look away, not make eye contact, not let him have the advantage.

Finally, the end of the day! I'm so happy that this day is over. It's joe stay been such a drag and I'm so tired, like always. Tyler wanted to meet me after school so we decided to go to a nearby field. It's around 10 minutes from my house, I'm just turning the corner when I see something, something which makes my stomach turn. Joe and some random people, looking very intimidating towards Tyler. I look around, across the rest of the field to see if anyone else is here.

Empty.

I get my phone and quickly message Jack, just saying my location. I don't want to waste too much time on my phone, hopefully Jack will understand and come here.
I slowly walk up to the gang, taking my place next to Tyler.

"What's happening?" I ask, confused. Turning to Tyler.

"I-I don't know, he just turned up" Tyler almost whispers, sounding quite frightened.

"Shut up Tyler" Joe scoffed, turning to me.

"Don't lay a finger on her-" Tyler was cut off by Joe's laughing.

"You really need to learn what shut up means" He stares at Tyler and back at me. "Look what we have here" He says, caressing my cheek.

"Get the f-" I try talk, but I'm frozen still.

"Shh" He smiles, intimidatingly.

"Get off her!" Tyler shouts, getting closer to me.

"Fuck sake Tyler, you don't make this easy!" Joe shouts as two of the men grab hold onto Tyler. "Now shut up."

"Do whatever you want to me, but fucking touch her and I swear you'll be dead" Tyler spits back, looking Joe dead in the eye. He completely ignores him, his focus on me.

"You're beautiful, you know?" Joe smiles again, looking deep into my eyes as I try focus on Tyler.

"Don't hurt him" I say, gesturing towards Tyler. "Do what you want to me, I don't care"

"Wow" Joe laughs, "you two really don't want the other to get hurt. Well one of you is going to get hurt today, so take your pick"

"What-" I say, confused.

"You really are stupid" Joe laughs, again, "boys"

At that one command, one of the men punch Tyler right in the jaw. Making him fall back to the floor.

"Stop! Don't-" I scream, "hit me! I don't care!"

"You fucking lay a finger on her or Tyler and I will end you" I hear a voice shout, Jack.

"Oh shit, look who it is" Joe pretends to act scared, laughing afterwards, as do his little 'gang'.

"Let go of him" Jack gestures towards Tyler.

"No, but maybe-" Joe looks at one of the men and towards Jack again. He proceeds to walk towards Jack with another man, who was stood behind Joe, taking hold of his arms.

"Get the fuck off me!" Jack shouts.

"Please-" I cry, "don't hurt anyone"

"You really need to shut up" Joe scoffs. "Or I will do something I regret"

"Do your worst" I roll my eyes.

"Y/N, don't" Jack warns, "let them hurt me, just go"

"No-" I interrupt.

"No one is leaving" Joe warns, "not under my watch. I'm here to get what I deserve"
