Chapter 31:

"Bye baby, be careful, okay?" Jack waves me off as I walk into the gates of my school.

"I'll be fine, bye baby" I smile, kissing him on the lips quickly before walking to my lesson, hearing the car drive off as I go into my classroom. I go over and stand in the little group we've made in our class.

"Hey y/n" A rough voice says, I can practically hear the smirk in their voice. I turn, seeing the one person i wished I wouldn't have to see today, or ever again.

"Leave me alone Joe" I say, holding my stomach as I feel ill, just thinking about what he done to Jack and Conor.

"Don't be like that" He caresses my cheek.

"Don't touch me" I hit his hand away, turning away from him to walk away.

"I think not" Joe grabs my wrist, "I didn't say you could go."

"I-" I try think of a witty comment but nothing comes out.

"You better watch your back, because I promise I will get my own back" Joe says, his face turning from serious and terrifying to happy and joyful in seconds as he walks off in the other direction.

"Ow shit" I whisper, holding my wrist. Not realising how much he actually hurt me, seeing the marks from where his hand was wrapped around it.

"Hey, are you okay?" Ariana asks, with Alice walking behind her, "we heard about what happened. I didn't want to message you, I wanted to give you some space"

"And to talk in person" Alice adds as Ariana nods.

"I'm okay, I guess, thank you for asking though. But we seriously need to get together again" I smile lightly as we talk about different plans we need to make, also getting on with our work in between talking.

I walk home, alone with my earphones in, music blasting through them. I approach a bench, sitting down as I do my laces back up, getting back up and continuing walking home.

I feel a tapping on my shoulder, so I take out one of my earphones.

"You dropped your pen" Joe smirks.

"Oh thanks" I say, taking it out of his hand.

"You're welcome" He winks.

"I-I'm going to- to go" I stumble my words. Honestly, yes I am a little scared. But I know if I call Jack, he will get worried, so I'll tell him later.

"No no, stay here" Joe smirks, his arm snaking it's way around my waist, his hand laying on my bum.

I stand. Still. Not moving. Barely breathing. Why am I not moving? Run. Sprint. Ring Jack.
That's all that goes around my head as I'm frozen, in one place, letting Joe touch me.

He leans into me slightly, looking at my lips and back up to my eyes. I shake my head, back away slightly.

"Stop, you're scaring me" I say, my voice shaking.

"There's nothing to be scared of baby" Joe says, trying to sound seductive, moving towards me slightly again.

I try think of all the possible things I could say that would let me get out of this situation. But all I can think is, run.
So that's exactly what I do.

I sprint. As fast as I can, I can hear footsteps behind me but I eventually hear them slowly fade off into the distance as I get to my house. I unlock the door, running up to my room and shutting the door. Dropping my bags on my bed, grabbing my phone and ringing Jack, I need to talk to him.

"Babe? Are you okay?" Jack answers almost immediately.

"Can you come round?" I ask, slowly tearing up but trying not to show it in my voice.

"I'm getting in my car, I'll be there soon. I love you"

"I love you too"
