"Shin hye-ah, c-can you meet me?"
"Sure, where?" I gladly responded his text back
"At the park"
"Okay, seeyeah"
And so I arrived 5 minutes earlier
"Shin hye-ah!" I heard him scream my name
"Oh, Yong hwa"
"You're here......Anyways I have something to tell you.." He says with a depressed look on his face.
"Um...wa-what is it?" I say with a nervous look
"I'm.....I'm moving...."
"W....what?"
"I'm leaving, I'm not going to live here anymore. I'd probably come back
but that would probably take a long time" he says
I look down, I didn't know what to say. I didn't want him to leave cause...I love him
not just a friend but as someone special to me.
But I'm sure he doesn't feel the same way.
He lift my chin and said "Hey, I know you're sad, I am too. But here's what you'll do
you'll stay strong and face all those false and stupid things people say about you.
I can't always be there to protect you" he says calmly
"I....I know"
Then I noticed him grab something from his pocket and hands it to me. It was a heart necklace
no.....wait it was a heart split into two. One had my name on it and one had his.
" I want you to have this. As a sign of our friendship. When you're sad, look at this and remember all those
times we've spent together. All those happy and sad moments" he says while he carefully locks the
necklace on my neck
"Thanks, Yong-yong" I said as I blushed. I hope he doesn't notice.
He smiles " Hehe, so anyways probably when I come back, you'll have a jagiya?" he teased
"Aniyo! No way! Guys are just ....." I react
"Are just what?"
"Guys are jerks"
"Well? I'm a guy, so does that mean I'm a jerk too?"
"Aniyo! you're different"
"Haha, sure. Let's go with that" He teased
Next Day
It's time.....
At the airport he gave me a tight hug and kiss on the cheek.
We all bid farewells
and then.....
he was gone.
I waited for him until the point that I couldn't see him anymore
then I whispered
"Goodbye my friend. The one who was always there for me, the one whom I trusted
and the one I love.....
