Tommorow is a new adventure

Racing down the the steep trail to his house was a 15 year old boy with his raven hair flowing in the wind and a little electric mouse on his shoulder. There names were Ash Ketchum and his best friend pikachu.

Now you may be wondering why their so in a rush? Well you see, Ash was on his way home from his exciting journey in Uvoa. He and pikachu were second in the league but decided that they didn't want to win another league to get even more popular so they 'lost' on purpose.

Here we have Ash just arriving at his doorway breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath from the long run. Once he regained it, he walked slowly to the door and turned the knob.

Ash's Pov
"Mom, I'm home" I yelled

I took off my shoes but kept my socks on so I don't get the floor dirty. Man, it feels so great to be home again. I really missed this place. Guess why people call it 'There's no place like home' hehe.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I felt someone trying to squeeze the life out of me. Yup that's mom alright.

"H...Hey M...Mom, I'm g...glad to s...see y...you too" I mange to say from the bone breaking hug I was in.

A few minutes have past and finally my mom let's go. She looked into my eyes and gave me a warm smile that always made me feel better about myself.

"Welcome home honey, I'm so glad to see you again" she said

I chuckled and scratched my neck "I missed you to mom" I replied and gave her a soft hug around her waist which she returned

When we released from the hug, she put her hands on my shoulders and had a very excited expression on her face.

"Now the first thing you do young man is to wash up for dinner then tell me all about your adventure. Also I have a surprise for you"

I looked at her confused "What do you mean? What surprise? What is it" I asked impatiently

She giggled and shook her head "I will tell you later, now go wash up for dinner little man"

That's what my mom calls me ever since I was a baby. I don't mind it at all though but I really want to know what surprise she's got in store.

I nodded my head madly and rushed upstairs. I could hear my mom laughing to herself from my inpatients. Pikachu ran after me right after he said hello to my mom.

I opened the door to my room and threw my backpack on the ground near all my badges, trophies and stuff and jumped on my bed with pikachu on my chest.

"Hey bud"I greeted him and scratched behind his ear

"Chaaa" he cooed

"C'mon, let's get un pack and get ready for dinner, I want to see what surprise mom has for us" he nodded and we began to un pack my backpack

Time Skip

We are now in the dinning room at the table eating beef soup while I tell mom about all the adventures me and pikachu had.

She listened very carefully and seemed very interested too but also worried for my safety. After I finished I asked about the surprise.

She rolled her eyes and gave me a nervous smile "Okay, so I was looking up some jobs online and I found a great one so I applied for it and I got the job"
