As soon as I got home I went up to my room and sprawled my body across the bed. I still didn't get my hat back from Mr. Mahone but my heart still seems to be beating out of my chest. He's a smart ass yet sweet I like it. Looking up at the ceiling for about 10 minutes I think about the negatives with Mr.Mahone....what if something happens between us then what?

Ughhhhhh getting up I head over to my closet to change into a pair or black leggings, a long white t shirt with a pair or white converse. Then I threw my hair up in a messy bun before I grabbed what I needed and left.

Tonight Im heading in Town for a party. I'm known for bad things that's something most people need to understand. I don't have a boyfriend mostly because they can't handle me. I live with my step mother cause my real parents were compete shit heads. I don't work because no one wants to hire a troubled girl like me. And finally I'm labeled as the outcast aka the girl who does wreck less shit and no one wants to be around.

Yup, so this is me The famous Carter Gray legendary fuck up. As I try to find a parking spot which ended up being 3 blocks away from the party I start thinking. What if Mr.Mahone is right???? Do I have potential??? Maybe it's his imagination he's trying to get me to be nice. Who knows.

I park get out and start walking with my phone and keys I. My hand. This part of town creeps me out mostly because the news has been showing people getting jumped here.lately there was a teenage girl and knowing that just gives me chills.

-----10 minutes later-----

Right when I got to the party I went in search for a bottle of water or a can of soda. My mouth was dry and my lips were chapped hell my throat was itching for something cold and wet to go down it.

For the record I promised myself I wasn't going to drink tonight only because I have to end up driving home and need to remember where the hell I'm going cause I don't want to be lost.

Music was blaring loud for the speakers in the living room where a dj was set up, colorful lights were everywhere and I think I might of saw someone past out on the floaty in the pool. Ah who knows its a party. Lingering bodies that were on the dance floor where grinding all over each other, making out, or in some cases trying to fuck and not realizing there still open. Ha teenagers.

"Hey carter would you like a drink?" I hear josh ask walking towards me with a big old smile on his face. "Sure josh thanks" he hands me a red solo cup and I take a few sips its ginger ale. Well I'm hoping its just that.

I can't get carter out of my mind. I try to focus but it keeps bringing her back and I loosing it.as soon as I'm home I run up the stairs change into a pair of sweat pants and a black t shirt before heading into town to go shopping. I'm in desperate need to go grocery shopping ASAP.

I wasn't planning on getting drunk but josh kept giving me drink after drink and I was thirsty. I think I've Been here for 4 hours because I over heard someone say it was almost midnight. Great!

Stumbling my way through everyone I walk out the door and onto the sidewalk. Crap.... Which way did I park? So I go with my gut feeling and turn to the right into town and start walking well stumbling hahaha. I'm not even sure where I am to be honest.

"Carter gray are you alright?" I turn to see a car pulled up next to me and a sweet sweet voice I remember. Mr. Mahone.... "Ummmmmm." Was all I could say before laughing. "Are you drunk?" He asked and I just nodded "I don't want to drink I wanted soda and I was dancing when josh kept giving me drink after drink. So maybe I'm drunk what's it to you dork?"

He clenched his jaw and got out of the car."come on carter I don't want anything to happen to you." It's not like I had a choice it was to get in or to be lost.

Thanks goodness the first day of school was on a Friday night because I would be sleeping late tonight. As I start to drive out of town I noticed a girl walking well actually stumbling around looking lost. I go take a closer look to see its actually carter...

I pull over quickly next to her. "Carter gray are you alright?" She turned to me with a smirk."Ummmmmm." Was all she could say before laughing. "Are you drunk?" I asked and She just nodded "I didn't want to drink I wanted soda and I was dancing when josh kept giving me drink after drink. So maybe I'm drunk what's it to ya dork?"

My jaw clenched and i took a breath before getting out of the car."come on carter I don't want anything to happen to you." It's not like She had a choice either with me.

I help her buckle her seatbelt before getting in myself and pull away. Mr.Mahone I'm sorry I didn't want to be drunk I'm guessing josh thought I needed to." She sounded so upset by this. And it broke my heart. " it's okay beautiful you shouldn't drink stuff that others give you at a party okay?"

She nodded looking at me. "Mr. Mahone you know you have a nice ass right?" I try not to laugh but I manage to smile. Where the hell did this come from. "And I have a small secret I kinda like you." She covered her mouth after that.

"Carter your not going to remember this tomorrow when you wake up. But I like you too." She took my free hand and started to play with it. The rest of the ride was quiet.

As soon as we pull into my garage we get out well I help carter inside and upstairs to my room."here put this shirt on if you want to change. I'll be down stairs if you need anything and he bathroom is right here."

"Can you help me?" She asked with a sleepy voice I took a second to think about it. Should I?? After a second I said fuck it and helped her change into my t shirt whichever looked long and good on her. "Okay carter now go to sleep." She nodded and got into bed while I pulled the covers over her."good night carter." I whisper kissing the top of her head.

"Thank you Mr.Mahone." And she closed her eyes ad fell asleep.
