I had woken up in the middle of the night breathless like I have for the past two nights here in the hospital. Noah thank goodness was still fast asleep next to me. I get up out of bed careful not to wake up Noah and walk out of the room taking this rolly thing that had my IV hooked up too it. If I go anywhere I have to bring that with me.

Stupid I know but it's whatever. Slowly and carefully I close the door and walk my way down to who knows where and think, clear my thoughts I guess. Austin looked terrible, I know for a fax he hasn't slept, eaten that much, stressed, distracted from doing what he needs to do- and it's all because of me. Ding ding ding that's right.

In desperate need of hearing his sweet voice now I grab my phone from my pocket and video chat him. Not even on the third ring he answers with his voice raspy as ever. Such a turn on if you ask me.

"Carter? Is everything alright?" He sounded worried.

"Yeah of course why wouldn't it be?"

"We'll, just the possibility you were taken and hurt I have to right to worry." He chuckled.

That laugh the one that has the ability to make you smile from no where and laugh along. It never gets old. I just roll my eyes though and cross my arms over my chest.

His smile began to fade and he gave me more of a concerned look. Maybe me being bitchy and stubborn didn't last long with him. And that's what I need to do. I need to go back to my old self more bitchy and stubborn and less lovey doves and safe with Austin.

If he truly likes me, hey that's awesome right? But if he doesn't then well screw him he's an asshole with a kid. He must of realize I wasn't paying attention and in deep thought when I felt a pair of lips attach to mine.
