Chapter Three

Taina: Okay today I'm just gonna get straight to the story. Disclaimer stuff, blah blah blah. Let's go!

Naruto's POV
Jiji said that I'm gonna start ninja school tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous. I wonder if the other kids will be friendly? I thought to myself  as I headed out to the woods. I looked up at the sky and it looked about mid afternoon.

I hadn't been to the woods since Jiji found me there. Do as quickly as I could I walked down to the woods on the other side of Konoha.

I was begging Kami to not have me run into anyone but apparently luck was not in my favor because when I was halfway there I was pulled into an alleyway and then left alone in a pool of my own blood.

Once I was finally able to regain my balance I ran as fast as I could in the direction of the forest ignoring the humongous waves of pain shooting up my legs.

I finally reached the forest but I didn't stop there. I ran through, the pain in my legs getting worse. But I didn't care, all I wanted was to find a place where I could just escape from the reality of the cruel world and relax.

I ran and ran until I reached a small clearing and I fell to my knees, exhausted physically and emotionally. Suddenly I felt something wet stream down my face. I reached my hand up to touch it. I was crying. So I sat there and let all of the pain that I had held in during the beating on the way there.

I tried to stop the tears from flowing but they wouldn't. My heart started beating faster and my breathing started to become irregular.

"Kit! Kit! Calm down or you're going to pass out!" Kura-Nii said with concern flooding from his voice. "Do something! Anything that can help calm you down!"

With that I forced by muscles to relax and did the best I could to gulp in deep breathes of the crisp air. "Can you sing me a song?"

"Sure Kit. Sing with me!"

I fell backwards and my back hit the soft grass. Then the grass started to grow and it lifted me up. It cushioned me like a soft bed.

"Wow Kit. That was amazing!" I blushed, not used to the compliment. Suddenly I realized that there were a bunch of animals sitting at the edge of the clearing. I asked the grass to put me back down and It reluctantly lowered me down to the ground. Once my feet once again hit the cool, comforting feeling of the dirt underneath my feet as small plants started to grow underneath them I thanked the plants by politely bowing my head.

Then I turned and started walking towards the animals. They didn't seem frightened at all so I hesitantly stuck my hand out to pet a small deer and it pushed its head against my hand. I felt the soft fur underneath my palms and I felt calm for the first time in my life. Then the deer spoke.

Follow me. It said. I was a little surprised but then I thought about it and realized that being able to communicate and manipulate nature probably included animals as well.

Where? I said back to it, speaking in deer. It looked kind of surprised but then then it looked because I could understand it.

To my home. It said excitedly. It then ran behind me and started to push my legs. I started to move forward and it came out from behind me and started to run so I ran after it.

I wonder where it's taking me. I thought as I was led off by the deer through the woods and onto a small path leading to the west side of the forest.

Taina-Chan: That took so long! I said that they were going to be shorter but they seem to get bigger every chapter. Anyway...
