I was always alone, until I met you, you made my heart jump, you made me feel loved if only for a short while,
I was broken, haunted, in total disarray
but you became my escape, my safe place, arms to run to when I needed a hug, even if all I got was a hand shake,
ears to listen, even if you only gave me one,
You were in some way a light in my dark universe,
You saw my scars, you saw my pieces but you never judged me, or maybe you did,
So thank you for you for breaking my heart, I can only grow stronger from here,
I have felt enough pain,
I can only feel joy now, or so I think.
