Chapter 1

The day started out fine. Everything was going to plan. Now I am stuck in a cell with Elizabeth next to me and creeps staring at us. This wasn’t part of the plan.

I walk up the aisle to see the area deserted apart from Elizabeth who is kneeling facing the ocean with a bouquet of flowers in her hand. It is raining heavily and Elizabeth is soaked to the bone. Her wedding dress is ruined and so is my bridesmaid dress.

“Elizabeth we must go, they are coming for us” I tell her as I try pulling her to her knees. We rush off just in time as soon after I can hear the pounding of soldier’s feet against the cold hard stone of the once beautifully decorated aisle.  We keep running until we meet Will. I stand back and keep an eye on the guards. I look up and see that Will is dressed in his wedding suit but is surrounded by East India Trading Company soldiers and has his hands clasped in irons.

“Will. Why is this happening?” Elizabeth asks Will as she strokes his face in a loving manner.

“I don't know” He tells her and glances at me before staring deeply into the eyes of his true love.

“You look beautiful” He tells Elizabeth with a sad smile.

“I think it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding” I tell them both and I manage to get a soft chuckle out of them both. Father comes up shouting and two soldiers stop his path from us by crossing their spears together which just makes him angrier.

“Make way. Let me through! How dare you! Stand your men down at once! Do you hear me?” Then I see my future husband. He walks up and grabs my hand while pulling me forcefully into a kiss. His mouth is crushed against mine in a demanding manner and his grip is too tight as it becomes painful. A small tear escapes my eye as he overpowers me once again. He pulls away and I see that my Father and Will are being held back by the men. They release my father but keep their hold on Will. Elizabeth just has a murderous expression on her face.  Becket then removes his coat and talks to my father ignoring me completely.

“Governor Weatherby Swann, it's been too long. I never did send my thanks for letting me marry your daughter” He tells him with a smirk.

“Cutler Becket” My Father nods his head in recognition of the greeting. “I may change my mind about you marrying my daughter if you do not release her soon to be brother-in-law” He tells Becket.

“It's Lord now. Actually” He says while holding my hand. I pull it from his grasp but this just makes him hold tightly on my waist.

“Lord or not, you have no reason and no authority to arrest this man” Father tells Becket while motioning to Will.

“In fact, I do. Mr. Mercer?” Mercer is a horrid man; he is evil to the core but just so happens to be Becket’s right hand man. Mercer brings forward a box. Becket pulls out a piece of paper.

“The warrant for the arrest of one William Turner” He says while handing the paper to Father.

“This warrant is for Elizabeth Swan!” He cries. Becket takes the paper back.

“Oh, is it? That's annoying, my mistake... Arrest her” He says while I move to help Elizabeth as she is grabbed by the soldiers.

“On what charges?!” I scream as Becket pulls me into his chest. I punch and kick out but a grown man is no match for an 18 year old girl. I manage to get my arm free and swing at his face landing a full blown punch to the side of his head. Soldiers then move around me a lift me away from Becket as they clap irons on me and Elizabeth. Will moves to stop them.

“No!” Will cries but all his efforts are in vain.
