Angels In The Winter

(( Trigger Warning ))

Summer.
It's warmth everlasting and loving to the bright, feathered wings of those who have passed the life of Earth.
Their dances graceful and their words peaceful and settle on their tongues and on ears of those whom are lucky enough to hear them sing.

Fall.
This season is of danger to those angels.
The feathers, wilt.
The faces sting.
They spread their wings and fly.
They glide high and tilt.
The coming cold, their ears ring.
Yes, so they try to escape.
Yes, they may surely die.

Winter.
All of the angels are gone.
The season has changed.
But one angel remains.
Young, he was.
His body stuck with the red blood stains.
He wrapped himself in his wings,
Turned to the sky-
And spoke five simple words.
"Farewell, for now, so long."

    Winter.
A fallen soldier, like a starved wolf of the grossest white pelt, stalked over. It's 'fur' coated with spots of some gray like dust, black of charred, and red of its own blood.
  Dying.
Soldier and Angel.
They sat together.
Patience.
Bondage was close.
And oh, was it instant.
Time.
They sat and huddled soon, nightfall taking its first turn in the snow season.
Endings.
Both starved by patience, both froze by time, and both dead by the ending.
They stuck.
And a second chance were they not given.
But peace.
And a good experience..
A life.
And a will to see it was time..

Before they went.
The fallen Angel uttered,
    "I know that I have fallen, time taken us volunteering. 
     I know it was callin', for the beckoning and the cheering.
     So I thank you my friend, for staying here still.
    And I thank you till the end, for giving warmths fill.."

" You stayed by me, Angel.
    Even when the other angels fled from the war.
You have given your last life to protect us, and that we owe you for.
        Thank you. "

Those are the people that'll be true.
