Chapter 4

It wasn’t long before the trio reached Everheim’s Borders. At first it was very awkward having 2 of infernus’ infamous knights enter your kingdom. But that was the easy part, the hard part was convincing Everheim’s king to admit the two knights into Everheim. In the end both knights were pardoned when they swore their fealty to Everheim. Though they were still daemonic. They were once men who were turned into daemons by Lucifer and this was the sole reason that the two were still breathing.

Another condition decreed by the king was to always have someone guard the two knights. Obviously Haruka volunteered to guard Vladamir whilst Haruka’s friend Sakuya guarded Asmodeus.

Now Haruka was showing Vladamir the sights around Everheim.  Right now they were in the ray gardens.

“Welcome to Kosen garden, it is the most beautiful garden in all of Everheim. My father and mother once dated here, this was their favorite spot. “ she said smiling as she looked around the trees surrounding the garden

“Why is called that?” Vladamir asked

She giggled at his question, she took his hand and led him to a spot where the sun shined the brightest.

“it’s called that because this is where the sun shines the brightest in all Everheim there are other spots like this in all of the kingdoms in the alliance. So all kingdoms in the alliance has a ray garden… wait Vlad can I ask you something?” she asked

He nods his head while looking at a tree.

“ you’re a vampire right.. why don’t you burn while you’re in sunlight then?” she asked

He looks at her and takes her hand he then puts it his chest where his heart is located. She is shocked to find out that it was still beating only at a slow rate.

“ I’m a daemon remember.. I just thirst for blood and it regenerates me… Lucifer doesn’t have any use for weaklings who can’t stand the light so when I turned into a knight of infernus and he noticed my thirst for blood. He thought I was weak but after he found out it was a side effect of me turning from man to daemon. He was amused “ he explained.

“oh… now I understand.” She said frowning

“don’t worry Haruka.. unlike vampires I don’t need to drink blood to survive so you don’t have to worry” he said looking into her eyes.

He enjoyed the feeling when he saw her frown turn into a smile. He couldn’t help but smile with her. This however was noticed by the blonde maiden.

“YOU SMILED!” she shouted pointing at his face her smile bigger than before. He then grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him. Heat came flooding over her as his face drew closer to her. “Is there a problem with that Miss Amberhall?” he asked his face only an inch away from her. Obviously her face turned red because of him. He then let go of her and pulled back.

A sigh of relief escaped the young elf as the knight pulled back. She to admit that seeing him smile was a thing she wanted to see more often. He looked good smiling rather than being serious all the time.

It was a few hours later when the two came back to Haruka’s house. Haruka went straight to her room to change whilst Vladamir went to living room and sat at the couch. He looked around the living room and noticed a book shelf with a few books and some picture frames. He was bored so he decided to read a book he went to it and noticed that some of the pictures were of team Arceus and her.

He grabbed a picture which contained the whole team including her. He looked at Shinn and he noticed that he didn’t feel angry which was an odd feeling. Since he always hated him before but now he didn’t give a fuck or what so ever.

Haruka then came into the living room and noticed Vladamir looking at the picture. Silently she tip-toed she was a few inches away from him when he said “Don’t even think about it’ as he turned around to face her what happened next surprised Vladamir.

Haruka wrapped her arms around the knight burying her face in his chest. Vladamir’s initial thought was to push her away but decided against it. The warmth she felt emanating from the cold knight was a surprise. Never in her life has she felt this kind of feeling which was the same for Vladamir.

It took them a while before they eventually broke apart both red from what occurred.

“i better go and start cooking… what do you want for dinner vladdy?” she asked he smirked at her remark “It’s up to you Haruka”

At the kitchen Haruka started to cook whilst Vladamir was reading a something which caused Haruka to scream…. Her diary.

“VLADDY!!!” She Cried as Vladamir kept the book out of her reach smiling at her dire efforts to retrieve her diary.

And this goes on for a good amount of time until Haruka catches the knight and retrieves her diary.
