you deserve no romance, with your body

unpondered and your unrefined tongue repulsed by

lips inclement, the beauty of your skin proclaimed by blind men

unknowing of your uncovered nature.

brazenly seized: the swells of my throat, evanescent

beneath your teeth; my heart's brute

grip seizes & splinters the skull above. so

i ponder your spirit starkly naked, your uncolored eyes

plain in nature, your mouth's curves shorn

by frankness darting past: the depth of your stillness,

the alarming decency evinced by your flesh --

my throat perished, i find

romance undeserving of

you.
