Cher Dear Fred,

We did not always get along, brother-in-law, but you were a good man who did not deserve to die.

Bill is helping me to write this, but you should know that it is not him who is choosing what to write it is me - I really do mean it when I say that you were a good and funny person.

We may have gotten off on the wrong foot (Bill says that is a common phrase here?), but you still tolerated me and for that I thank you. I am sure, looking back on it, that I was not being as nice to you as I could have been, and may have been annoying.

You were a truly selfless man, sacrificing yourself to save your brother, but it makes me feel bad that I did not see that before because you deserve to have your true traits recognised and appreciated.

I think that I will see you again, Fred.

Love from

Fleur
