Olivia Parsons POV

James stepped out of the car and walked towards Caleb and I. I stood up and Caleb hopped down from the bench and ran to his father hugging him.

"Hey buddy how was your first day of school?"

"It was great daddy. Ms. Olivia is fun and nice. We colored and played all day. I want to goto school tomorrow again" Caleb chirped excitedly.

"That's great! I'm glad you had a good day. Say goodbye to Ms. Olivia and go wait in the car. Daddy needs to talk to your teacher"

Caleb nodded and ran up to hug me.

"Bye Ms. Olivia"

"Goodbye Caleb see you tomorrow morning"

He let go and ran off to the car waving back at me. I smiled and waved back.

I turned and saw James staring at me with his mesmerizing brown eyes. I cleared my throat and James coughed trying to hide the fact that I caught him.

"How was Caleb in class? Did he have any difficulties or problems?" James asked concerned.

"Caleb was a very good student. He listened and participated in all the class activities. But there was a small issue. He got into an argument with another student. I guarantee you it wasn't his fault. Talk to Caleb about since it seemed to have impacted him a lot"

"I see. I will talk to him when we get home. If anything else comes up with Caleb please let me know. Have a good night Olivia"

"Alright then. You have a good night too"

James smiled at me and then left. I waited until they drove away and headed back to my classroom to clean things up and before heading home.

After an hour later I got home. I went inside my apartment and dropped onto the couch. I was exhausted.

It was already 5 o'clock in the evening. My stomach growled and I knew it was time for dinner. I wasn't feeling in the mood to cook so I decided to eat out instead. I was craving for pasta.

I changed my clothes, grabbed my purse and keys, and headed out to my car. I drove to my favorite little Italian restaurant near my apartment.

I got there in 10 minutes and went inside. I was greeted by the owner. She was a sweet old lady. Her name was Gemma.

"Hi sweetheart. How are you?" Gemma said giving me a hug.

"I'm doing great thanks for asking. I just finished my first day of teaching. How have you been doing Gemma?"

"That's great sweetheart. I'm so happy for you Olivia. I'm doing good sweetheart. Just the same as always"

We made some small talk while Gemma led me to a table at a corner near a big window.

"What would you like to have?"

"The usual please. You know I love your delicious chicken Alfredo pasta. It's heavenly"

"Alright I will have it out in a few minutes"

Gemma smiled and walked away. I looked outside and it was getting dark. I thought about Caleb and James. For some reason I was attached to Caleb. He was a smart boy. His father must be lucky to have a wonderful child like him.

The restaurant door opened with a ding and the first thing I heard was a little boy's voice.

"Daddy I love pasta. Gemma, Gemma, I miss you"

I looked to my right and there was Caleb hugging Gemma. As if James knew someone was staring he looked towards my diections and met my gaze.

I quickly turned away and tried to focus on something else. I felt my cheeks redden knowing that he saw me. Out of all the times I've been here, why did it have to be today that I encounter them again.
