Chapter 20

Your point of view:

Mina hands me one of the tickets with a big smile on her face, "What made you change your mind?"

"I just thought some fun time wouldn't hurt."

"Yes well I'm glad you came."

The club is already crowded.

People are waiting for the Dj to step behind the mixing table while others are enjoying their drinks at the bar or to their tables.

The atmosphere is surreal. The blue and purple/red spots make it looks like the room is filled with stars and an eclipse is painted in neon on the walls. It feels like we've landed to a different planet.

We walk to the bar and I order a strawberry mojito before we go sit to our table.

Mina sits next to me and brushes my shoulder with hers, "See, this is why we needed the tickets. We're sure to get in, we don't have to wait long and the most important part, we got a table!"

I nod and look around me with fascinating eyes, "Besides this place is amazing!"

My colleague raises her glass and we all do the same, "Come on, tonight is girls night and we are about to have fun!"

"I'll definitely cheer to that" I say while clinking my glass against their, "Let's drink and dance!"

We're dancing like crazy on the dancefloor, sometimes facing the Dj. The smoke and the different light effects make the atmosphere even more surreal.

Hyerin is trying to dance with some random guys but Juyeon keeps grabbing her arm, pulling her back to us and reminding her that tonight is girls' night only.

I'm getting more than tipsy so I decide to stop it there before it turns into a worse state.

I still don't know what happened last time I got drunk and the only moments I actually remember are enough to embarrass me.

I'm not sure I really want to find out what happened... Or maybe I do?

No, what if I said something more than embarrassing? What if I did something embarrassing? And it had to be him...

I shake my head trying to prevent replaying the scenes from that night.

After having dancing for a while like wild people we go back to our table.

I look at my phone and see a text from Taehyung.

Taehyung: So, how is the club? Having fun? I guess you are since I haven't heard of you.

Me: It's so much fun, you have no idea! I swear it's crazy! If it wasn't girls' night I would have told you to come.

"Are you texting Hot Stuff?" Mina shouts to be heard.

I nod and ask her to keep it down.

Juyeon gets close to me and asks, "Hot Stuff?!! Who? Where?!"

Hyerin tap on her friend's shoulder and indicates the dancefloor, "There! See!"

We all look at each other and laugh at what Hyerin was showing us.

Juyeon crosses her arms and shakes her head, "That's a pole you silly!"

Hyerin scratches her neck and laughs "Oh, right, sorry. I don't see clearly without my glasses."

"Aren't you wearing contacts?" asks Mina, "I think it's more the effect of the alcohol."
