This is how she had fallen out of love with him:

She didn't.

But he did. She thought.

She walked in on him and the girl. In her bedroom. Her silk sheets. Her spice candle lit.

She was going to surprise him. She had champagne and their favorite bread from their favorite bakery waiting in the kitchen. She came home early from her girls weekend just for him. For him.

She knew it before she had walked into the bedroom. It wasn't her bra laying on the living room floor. She knew if he had been alone he would have cleaned up the spilled wine in the kitchen. She knew if he was alone, he would've let Zoey sleep on the end of the bed. She knew it before she walked into the bedroom.

So she stood in the hallway frozen, not knowing how to prepare herself for what she was about to see. She decided she would never prepared and should just get it over with.

"Addilyn." He said, on top of another girl. A naked girl.

She softly closed the door, not sure if she closed it all the way because my eyes were filled with tears. She heard the bedroom door open and began to run. She grabbed her jacket, wallet,  keys, and Zoey.

"Addilyn wait, please. Let me explain please." He called, as she was in the doorway.

She stopped herself.

"You don't love me anymore." She whispered.

"Stop being foolish, you know_"

"You DO NOT love me anymore." She looked back. He said nothing.

She waited. She waited for him to tell he she was wrong. But he didn't say anything.

"No." She whispered. "I don't believe you."

His heart twisted at the sound of her broken voice.

"Believe me." He said, fighting back the tears of his own. "I don't love you anymore." Of course he was lying, he loved her, my god he loved her. More than words could ever properly explain, but he was a hurricane and she was a tornado, and they just didn't mix like the light, wind and soft drizzle they used to be.
