Chapter 2: A New Friend

Ameill wandered out on the route that connects Sandgem town to Jubilife city feeling really bored when he heard a sharp "Star" from over the bushes. Ameill ran over there to see an injured starly lying in a clearing ahead. Ameill went up to the starly when a whole flock of them attacked him.

Ameill started to run as fast as he could to Jubilife city but he kept talking wrong turns and soon got lost when he remembered he had an electrike pokemon that knew spark. Ameill sent out shinx and ordered her to use spark. When shinx used spark most of the starly in the sky fell to the ground and all the others retreated. "thanks shinx" Ameill said to his pokemon, "shi shinx" Shinx said.

Ameill returned his shinx and started to lokk around for signs of the track but couldn't find anything. When suddenly eleven staravias and the remaining starlys flew around preparing to attack him. Ameill covered his face with his hands completely forgetting about shinx. Ameill started running from the bird pokemon only to find more starlys that would chase him as well.

Then Ameill realised how stupid he was being he could of just used shinx 'again'. Ameill sent out his shinx and ordered her to use spark until they were all on the ground. As shinx nocked them out of the sky more starlys and staravias came and joined in. Eventually the starlys and staravias backed off from them allowing three staraptors to come through. "Shinx use spark one last time" Ameill ordered. Instead of using spark shinx used a much stronger move that Ameills pokegear said was thunderbolt.

"Awesome shinx you learned thunderbolt and used to defeat all of the bird pokemon" Ameill exclaimed. "Shinx shi" shinx said happily. "Oh wait as a reminder of today do your nickname to be sparkey?" Ameill asked his shinx and shinx nodded. Ameill look around and caught sight of a sign that was pointing towards Jubilife city. Ameill walked in the direction the sign pointed and soon got to Jubilife city.

The welcome to Jubilife city sign was very detailed because it was a big city. It had metal swirls on the rims on the sign and was kept very shiny. It was in great condition and looked as though it was taken care of every day. Ameill stopped admiring the sign and eventually walked through it. Ameill went straight to the pokemon center to heal his pokemon.

Ameill handed his pokeball up to nurse Joy to get Sparky healed. When he got Sparky back he walked out the doors of the pokemon center and got tripped over by a boy your age. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to trip you over" the boy said quickly. "Oh it's alright I wasn't watching were I was going so it's not your fault" Ameill replied. 'Um let me help you up and by the way my name is Jake" the boy said as he pulled Ameill off the ground. "My names Ameill why don't we go inside?" Ameill said.

"So what are you doing here?" Jake asked Ameill. "Oh well you see I started my pokemon journey today and have had a pretty tough time so far but never giving up until I reach my goal" Ameill answered. "Oh okay I started my journey today as well I got my starter pokemon from professor Rowan what about you?" Jake said. "Oh well you see when I got to the professor's pokemon lab there were no starter pokemon left so the professor gave all the stuff and then told me to catch my first pokemon and that's when I met Sparky" Ameill said. "Cool, hey why don't we have a pokemon battle" Jake said. "Yeah let's go have a battle, and also do you want to travel with me?" Ameill asked. "Yeah sure" Jake said

"Go Sparky" Ameill said as he sent out Sparky. "Go chimchar" Jake yelled as he sent out his chimchar. "Sparky quick use spark" Ameill called out. "Chimchar dodge" Jake ordered but chimchar wasn't fast enough and was hit by sparky's spark. "Chimchar use ember on sparky" Jake called out and chimchar quickly sent an ember Sparky's way and hit him. "Sparky use spark then scratch" Ameill called out and Sparky reacted instantly carrying out the combo the weakened chimchar allot. "Now finish it with thunderbolt" Ameill yelled. "No chimchar dodge it" Jake called out desperately but the thunderbolt still hit causing chimchar to faint. "Yeah, go sparky" Ameill exclaimed. "You fought well chimchar now take a long rest" Jake said to his pokemon. Sparky decided he wanted to stay out his pokeball and rest on Ameill's head. They both walked into the pokemon center to Jake healed his chimchar and Ameill got them a room to stay in during the night.
