Chapter 3: First Tournament

Ameill lay down in his bed that was opposite to Jake's bed. The bed was stiff and hard to sleep in and it was disturbing knowing other people have slept in that same bed. "It's hard to sleep in these beds" Jake said randomly. "Hey, you got the new bed I'm the one that was stuck with the old creaky one" Ameill stated.

Ameill woke up with a stiff back that hurt a bit when he moved it. Ameill went over to Jake's bed and shook him to wake him up. Jake wouldn't get up until Ameill threatened to whack him over the head with the one and only 'FROZEN TUNA'. When Jake heard the threat he got straight up and got dressed. "I wonder what they have for breakfast at the cafeteria here" Jake wondered aloud. "Well why don't we find out" Ameill told Jake and at that they left for the cafeteria.

"These bacon and eggs are the best!" Jake exclaimed. "Not as good as the scrambled eggs!" Ameill remarked. "glad you feel that way but you both only have toast" nurse Joy randomly said. "Oh yeah whoops" Ameill mumbled. Ameill and Jake continued eating in silence until Sparkey and chimchar popped out of their pokeballs, stole what was left of their trainers food and ran out of the pokemon center. "Come back here you guys" Jake yelled as he and Ameill ran after the two pokemon.

"Really you ate all of the toast" Jake whined to his chimchar. "Well Jake I'm going to do a bit of training for thirty minutes and then we'll get some tips from the trainers school" Ameill told Jake. "Okay let's go then" Jake said and then he walked away towards the pokemon centre to get more good!. "Come on out Sparky" Ameill said as he sent out his shinx. "Come on we have to find a good place to train" Ameill told Sparky

"Sparky use spark on that rock" Ameill ordered his shinx, Sparky charged up his spark attack and unleashed it upon a rock splitting it in half. "Yeah good job Sparky" Ameill exclaimed. "Bu-budew" a budew that came bouncing past said. "A budew I should try to catch it" Ameill thought. "Okay Sparky use thunderbolt on the budew" Ameill ordered. Sparky unleashed a powerful spark that hit the budew making it fall over. "Now Sparky finish it of, use scratch" Ameill ordered and Sparky used scratch causing the budew to faint. "Now go pokeball" Ameill said as he threw a pokeball at the budew.

"Yeah a new pokemon for our team!" Ameill exclaimed. "Come on out budew" Ameill said as he sent out his new budew. "Now do you want come with me on my journey?" Ameill asked. The budew hesitantly nodded. "Okay budew how about we give you nickname" Ameill said to the budew. "Bud-budew" the budew said while nodding. "Okay then what about Kaze?" Ameill asked and the budew nodded its head violently. Ameill looked at his pokegear and saw that he had three minutes to get to the trainers school. Ameill returned all of his pokemon and started running towards the trainers school.

Ameill got to the trainers school at the same time as Jake. "Hey Jake let's go in" Ameill called out. Jake's head snapped towards Ameill and the he let out a small laugh " yeah let's go in and also don't scare me like that" Jake said. When they walked into the trainers school they saw that there was a small tournament that people were signing up for. They were double battles with no substitutions allowed. Also you were allowed two items per pokemon.

"Ah no we can't join we both need to pokemon" Jake said sadly. "You mean you can't enter I caught a budew and named it Kaze" Ameill exclaimed proudly. "What? you caught a budew" Jake said and he looked bewildered. "Yup and now I'm going to sign up" Ameill said and then he left. Ameill was lining up when a speaker told them only thirteen more people could sign up.

Ameill looked forward and saw that there was twelve in front so he was the last person that would sign up. When Ameill got to the front he gave his details to the desk attendants. "Ameill be carefull there are many skilled trainers here because this is a famous tournament so don't be upset if you don't win you'll be lucky to make through the first round" one of the desk attendants said. "Don't worry I'm just doing this for fun" Ameill said as he walked to the waiting room.

"Ameill Gandal VS Joel Danga" the commentator announced. "Go Sparky and Kaze" Ameill yelled. "Go buizel and finneon" Joel yelled. "Sparky use spark and Kaze use absorb" Ameill yelled and Sparky fired a small ball of electricity surrounded in green orbs from Kaze's absorb attack at the buizel causing it to faint immediately. "No, finneon use bubble" Joel yelled Sparky counter it with thunderbolt and the budew finish with a razor leaf" Ameill yelled. Sparky used thunderbolt to destroy the bubble attack and to weaken the finneon so when Kaze used razor leaf it made the finneon faint. "Here we have it Ameill is moving onto the next round" The commentator yelled. The crowd roared as Ameill made his way of the stage.
