Chapter 23: No Breaks

Tossing in my bed, I turned only for something furry to tickle my nose. Opening my eyes, I saw Hazel was laying right in front my face. He then got up and snuggled under my chin which caused me to smile. I cradle my arms around as if he was a child.

I then looked across the bed to see Kai was no longer there. Not really caring to much at the moment, I closed my eyes for a few more seconds and laid there with Hazel. A door then opened behind me in the distance before footsteps made their way towards me. A body then slammed on the bed next to me and I looked to see Ethan in a fresh pair of clothes.

"Good evening," he chirped as he made his way closer to me.

I gave him a smile and wrapped my arms around him. In order for Hazel not to get crush, he decided it was perfectly fine to crawl out from under my chin and make his way comfortable on the side of my face. Not arguing with it, I just let it happen.

"Did you guys eat?" my voice crooked.

Ethan nodded, "Kai took us down stairs for breakfast. I ate some pancakes and sausages. Hazel got some fruits and we bought you up some although it's 5 in the evening now. Kai is downstairs asking the front desk for some stuff and I didn't want to wake you since you seem pretty tired," he noted.

I silently thanked him which he just nodded to in response.

After a few minutes, I decided it was time to get up and shower. I gentle moved Hazel from my face and placed him next to Ethan. He then started to chatter and I nodded my head. Hazel wanted me to set the water for him so he could take a shower in the sink when I was done brushing my teeth.

I stretched on my arm and he hopped on before running up and sitting on my shoulder. As I walked out the room, I could hear the television being turned on as Ethan was now flipping through the channels. A pain then struck through my foot but this time, it pained less than when it did yesterday.

As I made my way to the bathroom, I grabbed my bag from the closet before heading in and locking the door. Setting my bag on the counter by the sink, I looked to see there was a new packet of toothbrush. Hazel got off my shoulder and settled down on top of my bag whilst I brushed my teeth. After I was finished, I cleaned the sink and set the water to his liking.

I then took a small hand towel from the rack and placed it a distance away from the sink. "Your towel is there," I gestured to the towel.

He thanked me and hopped into the sink before starting to prance around in the water. I let out a chuckle and stripped from my clothes. I then unveil the bandages from around my foot to see it was bleeding a little like a small cut. Throwing out the bandage, I hopped into the shower and scrubbed myself from head to toe along with washing my hair.

After about 10 minutes, I turned off the water and grabbed a clean towel before wrapping it around myself. As I got out, I saw Hazel was still in the sink under the water.

"Hazel, you're going to us up all the water," I teased. He then proceed to wave his furry tail at me. He then asked me if I could shampoo and condition him which I declined which made him more a bit upset.

"It's not that I don't want to. It's that I'm not sure it's safe for you to use," I informed him.

He then begged me and after not giving up, I agreed that I would only use a little. I grabbed the hotel's shampoo bottle and squeeze some in the palm of my hand before gentle scrubbing him with it. I then helped him washed it out and did the same with the conditioner. After washing it out, I turned off the water and wrapped him in his towel before getting dress myself.

I got into a pair of jeans and shirt. I went to put on some socks but remembered my foot needed to be bandaged up again. I then pulled looked for a clean hoodie which happened to be Victor's hoodie, the only one left. Putting it on, I was engulfed with his scent which I found myself smiling to. I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually miss him.
