Laura's POV
I sighed. This cant be happening. I can't believe it. I unlocked and locked the car door. Mrs. Smith looked at me and said, "Can you stop?" I stopped, but I couldn't keep still. We approached a huge white house. It was like a mansion! I stared in awe. We pulled into the driveway and Mrs. Smith snapped me out of my thoughts. I found myself getting nervous as I approached the door. I chewed my hair. I NEVER EVER get nervous. A cheerful woman opens the door after Mrs. Smith knocks. You have to be kidding me. I'm supposed to live with some fake cheerful woman! No way! "Hello! I'm Stormie! You must be Laura!" she said and held out her hand. I just stared at it. "Okay..." she said pulling her hand back, "Come in" I walked into the house. I thought it was big from the inside, but Holy Cow it was bigger inside. I then heard yelling and Stormie groaned. A girl that looked a little older than me ran by with 5 boys chasing her. Stormie laughed. I was confused. I thought I was going to be the only teen here. Guess not. Stormie said they were her children and yelled for them to come back and introduce themselves. "Hi! I'm Rydel!" the girl said way too perky. "Hi, I'm Rocky!" the one in the middle said. "Hi, I'm Ryland!" said the one that looked at least two years younger than me. "I'm Ross" the one that looked my age said. "I'm Riker" the oldest looking one said. "And the best for last is me, their family friend Ellington Lee Ratliff" said the one that looked nothing like them. Ellington was funny, I stifled a laugh. I wasn't going to be nice to this stupid perky family. I wasn't raised to be happy, I was raised to be tough. I wouldn't last a week here. I want to be back in my home at Vegas, not my new stupid foster home in Cali. At least that's what I thought....
