Bittersweet as it is...

Day 2 : A competitor

After breakfast, our party bus arrived. I quickly shoved the remaining toast on my plate I had left into my mouth and then I headed over to the bus with Qai not far behind. I chose a place and he'd sit beside me. When we're almost done boarding the bus, my grandma made an announcement...
"Okay people, we have a new member to our trip. This is Hian, she just dropped off yesterday" said my grandma whilst showing off this person standing up front.

I adjusted my eyes. I squealed and ran over to hug my cousin. Hian did just that too. After greeting her warmly I brought her over to my seat (I think Qai got the hint 'cause he moved to the sit beside ours) and introduced them.

With my cousin here, i'd be more comfortable and less awkward during this trip. Ahh~ this is all gonna work out nicely......right?

Wrong!!!
Apparently Qai and Hian are both very photogenic. They discussed a lot about the perfect angle and all that stuff. Which I know none of. Every Time we got off the bus to take pictures of monuments or such, they would take hundreds of pics. I felt left out and kinda hurt. I pouted to see if anyone still realised I existed. No luck. They carried on with their photo sessions like nobody's business.

I give up.... On the next stop, I decided to stay in the bus. Not like anyone needed me anyways. When they all got down from the bus. I was left alone... As expected, not a single soul knows I'm here... I put on my earphones to just drown my sorrows through music.

Halfway through the song "feels by Calvin Harris". Someone climbed onto the bus. I turned to see Qai sitting beside me. I decided to ignore his presence just like he was ignoring mine. He looked at me, desperately trying to get my attention. After a while, he gave up trying.

He reached into his backpack a pulled out some sort of snack. He held out what looked like candy inside of a banana leaf. I asked him what it was. He was unsure himself. He took a bite.

"It's not bad, wanna try?" He asked

I was kinda hungry at the moment so I took on the offer. As I reached out the grab the snack from his hand, he held it further away from me. Then he held the snack close to my mouth. I gave him a weirded-out look, then finally took a small bite out of it.

"See, it's nice" He smiled warmly.

Then it suddenly occurred to me that he just fed me the snack instead of just handing it to me. I blushed profusely.

All he did was grin back...
