"Ashley, wake up!" yelled my dad from down stairs. He's a lazy bum, he won't even come upstairs to wake me up; his one and only daughter.

I groaned, I hate Monday mornings, how can people wake up early. I got up from my purple polka-dotted covers and went to turn on the shower. Stripping from my clothes, I looked at my naked body in a full length mirror. My body had a nice shape to it. I had some curves but not enough to be noticeable by first look. I have pretty brown eyes and plump lips. I'd say I was average compared to some other girls.

Getting into the shower, I let the hot water run down my skin. My cramped muscles relaxed and I took my time slowly lathering myself.

"Ashley Mary Jones, get out of that damn shower!" My dad screamed over the roaring sound of water.

Turning the handle, the water stopped flowing. Suddenly the rush of cold air connected with my body, making me shiver. Wrapping a yellow towel around my naked body, I walked out into my room and to my dresser. Opening it, I took a pair of light pink ripped skinny jeans along with a light blue top with flowery print on it. Locking my door, I changed quickly. Then going to my mirror, I grabbed a brush and started brushing my waist long brown hair and then putting it in a side braid with my straitened bangs. Grabbing my light blue flats and sneakers I ran out to get my breakfast and meet my cranky father.

"Hey Dad," I said casually.

"Morning, Willow is outside waiting for you." He responded.

"Aww man, seriously? I got to go!" I said quickly and ran out towards the door.

"Have fun!" He called out from behind me.

Willow- a.k.a. my best friend- gives me rides to school in her red Jeep. Willow is the definition of perfect. Perfect body, personality, lips, looks. She's also athletic and a very talented artist. She can get any boy head over heels for her. Sometimes I wonder why she's still my friend...

"Hey girlie, I like your outfit." She commented.

"Thanks!" I replied cheerfully. "So what's up today?"

"Nothing much, this guy asked my out. I didn't know who he was, he was hot but I said-"

"No," I cut her off.

"Exactly."

"You always say no." I said matter-of-factly.

After an awkward moment of silence, she yelled, "Shit!"

"What?" I shouted back, startled.

"We didn't get Starbucks!" She squealed.

Wow... Thanks for the heart attack.

After going to Starbucks and getting some hot coco and a muffin we, got to school. Some jocks wolf whistled at us and by us, I mean Willow. While she waved, I hung my head in embarrassment.

"Seriously, honey," she said, "You're beautiful, you just don't want to admit it."

I had to walk to my house because Willow had cheerleading practice. As I got home I opened the door and sang off key. "I'm home!"

Just as I said that, my dad came rushing out, crying. Is my singing that bad?

"Hey dad, are you okay?" I asked, confused.

He continued weeping into my shoulder, ignoring my question. But when he finally answered my question, I wished I'd never asked, "Ash, I'm sorry."

"What for?" I eyed him suspiciously.

"Your mom wants you to finish school in Las Vegas," he sobbed.
