Zoey's POV
"Hey momma" I say as I walk into the kitchen. She quickly lifts her head off the table.

"Hey sweety, where have you been?" She asks, but I can smell liquor on her breath. She's not like those parents when she's drunk that abuse their children, well, most of the time. She was just way too happy and not her normal self.

"I was out with my friends" I tell her as I grab a water from the fridge.

"Oh. Well there is pizza on the oven if you want some" She tells me.

"Okay" I say as I make my way over to it. I notice that she had the oven turned on still so I turned it off. Good thing nothing caught on fire. I grab two slices and head upstairs to my room.

"I'm going to bed mom, goodnight love you" I yell as I make my way up the stairs.

"Goodnight sweety" She yells back. This is the first time this week that she has been home at night and it was Friday.

I make my way up to my room and get out a book from my shelf and read while I eat my pizza. I read the first few pages of Matilda and I am done with my pizza.

I put the book on my nightstand and change into clothes to sleep in. I put on an oversized Pink Floyd shirt with black and white striped shorts. I pull my hair up in a pony tail and a few strands fall loose.

I then exit my bathroom and put my dirty clothes into a hamper in my room

I then exit my bathroom and put my dirty clothes into a hamper in my room. I keep the light on in my bathroom with the door cracked so my room isn't too dark.
I fixed the covers on my bed and get into my bed as my eyes scan the room while I lie awake.

Suddenly, the light in my bathroom shut off and my room became darker. I could feel my heart start to race

"The light probably just blew" I whisper to myself as I look around  around my room once again, thankful for the lamp on my nightstand.

Suddenly, sparks flew and the two lamps shut off as well, enveloping my room in darkness.  I sat up quickly in my bed as it became harder to breath. I move up to the corner of my bed and put my hands on the side of my face.

"It's just the dark, there's nothing there" I mumble to myself as I begin to shake. I quickly scan my room again, straining my eyes to see anything.

I look towards my bathroom and see two fire orange eyes staring back.

"Holy shit" I say as I can hear the door open.

"AGH! Mom!!" I scream through the house as the figure comes closer. I can then make out that it's the clown I've been seeing.

"NO! Get back! Get away!" I yell as my hands begin to shake and I cover my face, cowering in the corner.

"Mom!" I scream again as tears come to my eyes. The clown comes closer and puts it large hands around my neck as it pushes be against the wall, cutting off my breathing.

I can hear footsteps and someone juggling my door handle.

"Zoey! Unlock the door!" I hear Richie's ring through the door.
I beat my hand against the door, hoping he'll realize that I'm not okay.

He finally breaks trough the door and the clown looks over at him. It quickly lets go of me and goes back into my bathroom and disappears as the lights turn on once again. I'm still in my corner, cowering away from everything as I shake.

"Zoey, Holy shit" I hear him say as he comes over to me.

I look up and see him rush over to my bed. I quickly jump into his arms, too scared to let go.

"What happened?" My mom states holding her head as she walks to my room.

"Oh my god, sweety what's wrong" my mom asks as she sees me shaking and crying in Richie's arms.

"She just had a nightmare Ms.Williamson" Richie tells her as she nods her head with a weak smile, disappointed she could not comfort her child, but leaves anyways.

"Richie, I'm thankful you are, don't get me wrong, but why are you here" I ask him.

"Oh, I couldn't sleep so I went for a short walk and I heard screaming. I came over and I saw your mom passed out on the table so I ran up to your room" He tells me.

"Thank you" I tell him as I look at his face. I didn't have a smile on my face or a low giggle, I was being serious.

"You're welcome" Richie says as he pulls me into another comforting hug.

I pull away and lay down in my bed. Richie then turns to leave my room

"Rich?" I stop him before he leaves.

"Can you stay? I don't think I can handle being alone..." I tell him truthfully.

"Yeah. Definitely" Richie tells me with a smile as he lays down as well, protectively wrapping his arms around me. I am very thankful for Richie. He was here for me, unlike my mother at the moment.

Although Zoey did not know it, bill and Beverley experienced similar incidents that night as well. Bill saw Georgie in his basement along with the clown, a mere hour before the very same clown terrorized Zoey.

Bev,however, did not see the clown, but became a victim of one of his sinister games as he covered her bathroom with a thick, red liquid.

Eddie, as well as the others, saw something that day. He saw a leper, a walking infection, that chased him into a crack-head house yard, only to be met with the same thing that the others saw.

The sadistic clown.
